The highly-anticipated wildlife park, Rainforest Wild Asia, is set to open very soon in March 2025; and ahead of the official opening, we got a special sneak peek at the park’s offerings.

The 13-hectare rainforest marks Singapore’s fifth zoological park, boasting 8 unique and immersive zones to explore: including scenic treks, exotic animal sightings, thrilling activities and more. Here are all the highlights of the park you can look out for during your visit!

Scenic & leisurely forest walks
Bask in the lush beauty of the rainforest through various walking routes, and the entire park area boasts a whopping 7000 native trees and shrubs—all of which are sure to entice any nature lover.

You can opt to take a more relaxed stroll via elevated walkways, with sheltered rest stops and stunning lookout points; or go the more rugged route crossing through forest trails and streams scattered with fallen logs and boulders. There’s also a couple of suspended bridges that you can use to get across forest floors.

No matter which route you choose to take, you’re guaranteed to experience gorgeous views of nature, waterfalls and rock formations all around, with photo-worthy spots at every corner. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and attires as you’ll definitely be doing plenty of walking!
Thrilling high-element course & activities

For the thrill-seekers, you can leap off 20-metre or 13-metre high platforms at the Canopy Jump. This is Rainforest Wild Asia’s highest point, and you’ll be able to experience a gravity-defying free fall while taking in the beautiful rainforest views on the way down.

There’s also a 3-hour long Wild Apex Adventure, where you get to scale various cliffs, rock faces and high elements. This experience includes a guided tour and is priced at $192 per adult.

For activities that are a little more tame, you can opt for the Critter Crawl or AIA Vitality Bounce. The former lets you traverse through a 60-metre cave tunnel with impressive rock formations and fossil imprints; while the latter is an open-air climbing net and play area where you can bounce up to 7-metres in the air and zip down a 9-metre long slide too. These activities are not included in the admission ticket price, and can be enjoyed for an additional price as follows:
Canopy Jump – $30 per person
AIA Vitality Bounce – $15 per person
Critter Crawl – $20 per person
Majestic 60-metre caverns

Inspired by the stunning Mulu caves of Sarawak is The Cavern, featuring one-of-a-kind walk-through cave chambers measuring 60-metres long. Here you’ll get a respite from the outdoor heat and enjoy the air-conditioned indoors exploring stalactites, stalagmites and fossil imprints. You’ll also be able to spot some creatures here like Racer Snakes, Giant Black Scorpions and Cockroaches too.

Don’t miss out on the Oculus—an IG-worthy spot where you can look up into the sky through an opening in the rocks above. Here’s also where you’ll find the Cavern Restaurant, Singapore’s first and only cave restaurant. On the menu, you can expect to see Western-inspired fare, including skillfully crafted grills, steaks and artisanal sides.
Exotic animal sightings
Animal lovers, make sure to keep your eyes peeled for some of the exotic animals residing at various flexible habitats throughout the park. The various habitats are situated throughout the walk, and you’ll be able to witness the animals roaming freely.

Some of the 36 animal species housed here are also extremely rare and new to Singapore: including the François’ Langur, Philippine Spotted Deer, Red Dholes, Malayan Tigers, Babirusas, River Terrapin, Giant Tortoise, Sun Bear, Malayan Tapir and more.
Cafés & retail store

If you’re feeling peckish along the way, you can find a couple of dining spots and cafés situated at various points along the route. Cafés include the Ranger’s Café and the Watering Hole Café, which will be opening soon.

Stop by the retail store as well to pick up some exclusive park-themed merchandise starting from $12. Here you’ll find items like animal plushies, stationery, bags, footwear, apparel, keychains, drinkware and even snacks!
