Don Don Donki’s new outlet at JCube has officially opened!
While it is the seventh store in Singapore, what’s exclusive to this branch is a 360-seater food court, first ever sushi bar and live teppanyaki outlet.
At Don Don Donki’s first ever sushi bar, everything served here is made to order, with a Japanese chef present to prepare your rolls for you. They also have Sushi Burgers starting from $5.
There are eight stores in the food court, including renowned names like Takoyaki store Gincado and Tsukiji Unagi Daioh.
Singaporeans can’t say no to Takoyaki — especially if it’s by Japan’s famous Takoyaki chain, Gindaco. The original flavour is going at $5.90 for 6pcs, $7.90 for 8pcs and $15.80 for 8pcs. That’s about a dollar for one takoyaki! As an opening promotion, the store is selling 8pcs for $7.
Do give the Original a try — the fillings inside including the squid are nice and chewy with a light smokiness.
Tsukiji Unagi Daioh, a first in Singapore, is also here. Find prized unagi bowls from $13.90 and grilled seafood skewers from $3.80.
The skewers might come off as steep, but that’s premium seafood you’re paying for.
Craving for hotpot? Check out Arizuki Express, where they serve various hotpot sets from $15 with ingredients like Pork Belly and Beef Intestines in Miso or Shoyu broth. Other dishes like Teppan and Ramen available too. Also, if you can’t get enough, they also have Arizuki-special cup noodles that you can take home!
Since you’re already there, you have to give Do Ton a try.
At this live teppanyaki outlet, choose between Seafood Yakisoba ($10.90) and Beef Okonomiyaki ($9.90). As an opening special, get a Pork Okonomi Yaki for $6.90!
While the Don Don Donki supermarket isn’t as large scale as the other outlets, you can get some pretty good finds too. Always find wagyu beef out of reach because of the pricing? At the supermarket, you can get Hokkaido Wagyu Steak for just $20!
If you’re feeling like a baller, feel free to spend $1300 on the entire wagyu as well.
They also have new Kit Kat flavours, such as Strawberry Cheesecake, Apple Pie and Chestnut from $5.95 a pack.
And if you ever get bored while waiting for your food, they even have claw machines just beside the entrance of the supermarket.
