B&B Bakery, or Bread & Better Bakery is a newly-opened standalone bungalow-inspired bakery-café located just 10 minutes away from the checkpoint. They specialise in shio pan breads, as well as other bakes and pastries—all displayed in self-serve style glass cases within the café.

The vibe of the café is reminiscent of cafés and bakeries you might find in Korea or Bangkok: the interior is warm and inviting with dark woods that are almost barn-esque. There are also eye-catching bread-shaped art installations all around, including giant life-sized croissants and baguette displays.

There are about 14 different shio pan flavours you can expect, including the likes of Mochi, Olive Herb, Matcha, Mentaiko, Cream Cheese Scallion, Truffle and more. Prices for shio pans start from RM5.90 each (~$1.80 SGD each). All the shio pans are handcrafted and baked fresh everyday in-house by a Taiwanese chef. Shio pan quantities are limited daily, if you’re looking to get your hands on these bakes, you might want to visit early before they’re all sold out.
