Steak frites are not the most affordable dish in Singapore, with prices for the dish mostly starting from upwards of $25 to $30 at the very least. So colour us surprised when we found this restaurant that offers quality steak and fries for just $20!

Located in the Bugis area, Ern Ern Steak & Fries is the latest restaurant concept by renowned chef Ethan Leslie Leong; and like the name suggests, the restaurant’s signature is its Steak & Fries. In fact, they only offer 2 main dishes on the menu: Steak & Fries ($20) and Fish & Chips ($20)—both at an incredibly pocket-friendly price point.

Since they only have 2 mains on their menu, you know it’s got to be good. Their value-for-money Steak & Fries comes with a 220g sirloin steak, served with a side of their House Special Sauce and your choice of fries (Original/Seaweed/Curry). You also have the option to top up an additional $3 for Truffle fries instead.

Ern Ern Steak & Fries does not charge GST. Ern Ern is part of a 3-storey establishment, with other sister restaurants in the same building: Maison Ikkoku (for modern Japanese cuisine and cocktails) and Eden (for wine and sake with a view).
