KELIM DAKDORITANG: FAMOUS 59-YEAR OLD KOREAN SPICY GARLIC CHICKEN STEW RESTAURANT OPENS NEW OUTLET IN TIONG BAHRU!

Garlic lovers rise up! Kelim Dakdoritang is a famous Korean spicy garlic chicken stew restaurant chain with 59 years of history and over 50 outlets, and they’ve just opened their second outlet in Singapore at Tiong Bahru with brand new menu items and pocket-friendly lunch sets for just $15.90!

Kelim Dakdoritang is known for their popular Dakdoritang, or Spicy Chicken Stew starting from $36.90 and comes in larger sharing-sized pots that are ideal for families or groups. Now, solo diners can also enjoy their very own pot with the newly-launched Baby Dakdoritang ($15.90)! The Baby version is exactly the same as the original, except in a smaller single-person serving and comes with a bowl of rice, your choice of canned drink and side dishes—perfect for a hearty lunch on a work day!

Baby Dakdoritang, $15.90

If you don’t want rice with your lunch set, you can choose to switch to ramyeon for an additional $2.90. The Dakdoritang is great for garlic lovers and comes with a heaping serving of freshly minced garlic for that punchy, garlicky and spicy kick—just beware of that garlic breath afterwards! The stew also comes with a generous serving of chicken pieces, leeks, chewy rice cakes and potato chunks. You also have the option to customise your stew further by adding items like quail eggs, oyster mushrooms, sausages and more (from $4).

Fried Rice, $8

Don’t forget to end off your meal with a classic Korean “dessert” of Fried Rice ($8) made with your leftover spicy chicken broth, seaweed and vegetables! For the entire month of March 2024, you can also enjoy 30% off regular-sized Dakdoritang when you follow them on Instagram and Facebook!

Aside from the new baby-sized Dakdoritang, the restaurant chain has also launched brand new menu items: like the Chicken Cartilage with Sweet Spicy Sauce ($19.90), a unique alternative to the iconic Korean fried chicken with an addictive extra crunchy texture. There’s also the new Samgyeopsal-gui ($29.90), grilled pork belly with stir-fried kimchi that you can use to make wraps with; along with Haemul Pajeon ($24.90), Spam Fries ($17.90) and more.
