Meet CardTruck SG, possibly Singapore’s first mobile Pokémon card shop, founded by Ace, a lifelong Pokémon fan who has since taken this passion full-time.
From Idea to Iconic Pikachu Truck
To bring the idea to life, Ace invested heavily into making the truck both functional and eye-catching. The custom Pikachu truck alone costs around $150,000, with an additional $40,000–$50,000 spent on renovations and interior setup.
The result? A bright yellow truck complete with an unmistakable Pikachu tail, designed to spark instant nostalgia and curiosity.
“Everyone knows Pikachu,” Ace shares. “It’s nostalgic, recognisable, and it immediately connects with people of all ages.”
A Pokémon Card Shop — But Make It Mobile
This isn’t just a display truck. Inside, CardTruck SG is thoughtfully designed with:
- A retail section where collectors can browse and buy Pokémon cards
- A dedicated live-selling and live unboxing area, bringing the online Pokémon community into a real-world setting
By putting everything on wheels, Ace hopes to make Pokémon cards more accessible, especially for fans who might not live near specialty card shops.
“I wanted to bring Pokémon cards directly to people — not the other way around,” he explains.
What’s Next for CardTruck SG?
This Pikachu truck might just be the beginning. Ace hints at future plans that could include different Pokémon-themed fleets, each with its own character and identity.
For now, the truck continues to roll across Singapore, popping up at different locations and surprising fans wherever it appears.
