You’ve probably seen videos of the viral cake picnic on TikTok or Instagram: metre-long tables covered with whole cakes, and all the cake slices you can possibly fit in your box. Well, Singapore will soon be having her very own Cake Picnic event soon on 2nd August 2025, and we’ve got all the deets.

There will be a Cake Picnic hosted by Cat Welfare Society (CWS) happening for one day only on 2nd August 2025. Unlike overseas Cake Picnic events where you’ll have to bring your own whole cake to enter, and bring home unlimited cake slices; this event is a little different. Entry to the event will be on a donation basis, with a minimum of $10 donation to the CWS. Your donation will entitle you to entry to the Cake Picnic, and 3 slices of your choice of cake from the picnic selection.

There will be over 60 different cakes on display on that day, sponsored by popular home bakers and local cake businesses like Edith Patisserie, Sweet Surrender, Stanster Bakes, No Crumbs and more. Some of the cake flavours you might expect include Banana Nutella Pudding Cake, Lemon Chantilly, Mango Sticky Rice Cake, Matcha Osmanthus Tiramisu, Strawberries & Cream, Fudgy Kunafe Brownies, Passionfruit Olive Oil and more. Note that cake flavours are subject to change.

The Cake Picnic is a walk-in event, so you don’t have to register to enter, though you can expect a crowd and wait times to enter the event space itself. There will be 2 different rounds/timeslots happening on the day: 11am to 1pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm, with the event ending once all cakes have run out. Cake slices will be displayed self-serve style, and are up for grabs on a first-come-first serve basis, with each slice measuring around 2” by 1”. You’re also encouraged to bring your own boxes to the event for your cakes.
