1. MoonGlow Café & Wine Bar

Located on the second story of a shophouse along Stanley Street, Moonglow is an intimate Australian-inspired café and wine bar that’ll give you an authentic taste of what Aussie has to offer. Heavily influenced by Australia’s rich and eclectic wine, dining and café culture, MoonGlow offers an extensive selection of South Australian wines from Foggo Wines starting from an affordable $10 per glass.

On the menu are various small plates with an Aussie slant, including the likes of MB6/7 Steak Bites ($29), Iberico Secreto Jowl ($29), Baked Camembert ($22), Chicken Lollipops ($14), Aussie Beef Pie ($10), Szechuan Wing Flats ($14) and more. 2. Bag Me Up

Bag Me Up is another friendly neighbourhood bagel house serving up affordable, chunky bagels in Everton Park. The space is super compact so seating is extremely limited, with only a single rattan chair and bench area within the café itself, so it’s probably best if you get their goods to-go.

The café serves some pretty unique bagelwiches like the unagi-filled Bag Me Up Signature ($16.50), We Will Wagyu ($16.50), Brekkie ($10.50), Swee N Chic ($12.50), and more. They also have a couple of drink options such as coffee and milk teas like the White Peach Fresh Milk Tea ($4.50), Osmanthus Fresh Milk Tea ($4.50) or Ceylon Fresh Milk Tea ($4.50), each topped with creamy foam on top.

3. CRESCENT

This is a quaint little waffle and sandwich shop in Bugis with traditional neighbourhood-style waffles and stuffed sandwiches. The Scandinavian-inspired space is pretty small and minimalistic, with only about 10 seats available on tiny tables, so it might get a little cramped at peak hours.

Their signature Pandan Waffles (from $2) are served old-school style: folded in half and tucked into a paper bag, with fillings like Black Sesame ($2.80), Kaya ($2.60), Blueberry ($2.60), Chocolate ($2.60), Peanut ($2.60) and more. They also have various sandwiches served with a side of potato chips like Smoked Salmon Croissant ($11.90), Peri-Peri Chicken ($11.90) and Ham.Egg.Cheese ($11.90), just to name a few.

4. Three Cheers Patisserie

Three Cheers Patisserie is the sister café of the 24-hour Mosanco Enchanted Café with a minimalistic white-centric interior. Unlike Mosanco, Three Cheers is a dessert café serving pastries, cakes, sweets and ice cream. For now, the café is still pretty underrated, so you can look forward to enjoying your treats in a quiet space.

The desserts on display are on rotation and change daily, but highlights to look out for include the New York Cheesecake ($8.90), Strawberry Shortcake Cup ($8.90), Mango Azuki Yogurt ($8.90), Royal Hazelnut Tart ($12.90) and more. They also have assorted macarons, local-inspired swiss rolls and whimsical drinks as well.

5. Yolé Café

Fan-favourite frozen yogurt chain Yolé has branched into the café scene with their first-ever café concept right here in Singapore! The new Yolé Café is the first of its kind in the world, and offers a slew of full-fledged brunch items, freshly-churned ice cream, and of course, froyo—all in an inviting and spacious dine-in café space.

The tropical-inspired café is located in Chinatown, and offers both sweet and savoury brunch items like Avocado Toasts ($12.90), Bikini Barcelona ($14.90), Pistachio Brioche ($15.90), Quinoa Chicken Bowl Salad ($17.50) and more. 6. Humble Bakery

If you’re looking for a quick and comforting snack or midday treat in the CBD area, look no further than Humble Bakery: a popular online specialty bakery turned physical café over at One Raffles Place! Humble Bakery is known for their artisanal scones in unique flavours, and even mochi scones!

The no-frills 12-seater space is the perfect spot to relax and sit with a freshly-baked scone and coffee if you’re working in the area. 7. So France Café

French bistro and epicurean grocer, So France, has opened a new café concept in Newton with all-day brunch bites, a full-fledged bakery, and even a retail store! The spacious and airy new café boasts lush Parisian vibes and serves items like Quiches ($12), various Omelettes ($18), Sandwiches ($12), Galettes (from $18) and more.

The café seats a total of 35 persons, and they also have outlets at DUO Galleria in Bugis and Claymore Drive in Orchard. You can also stop by their grab-and-go retail section for items like cheeses, cold cuts, butter, jams, yogurts and other French treats.

8. La Veranda 

This is a lush garden brunch café that’s hidden within an upscale furniture store in Orchard with aesthetic and beautifully plated brunch items, desserts and coffee! Located within the House of AnLi, a premium European home furniture, decor and lifestyle store in Tanglin Mall, La Veranda boasts a lush nature-inspired and sun-drenched space.

9. Seng House

The famous Seng House Coffee Bar from Changi Road has opened a second outlet in Tanjong Katong with a brand new look and menu! The new Seng House boasts a cosy and retro 70s-inspired look, with wood and marbled accents as well as metal furniture. Enjoy the cool indoors or bask in the outdoor views at their al fresco seating area.

Seng House is known for their nostalgic local-inspired fare with a unique modern twist, and they serve different menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner—so you know you’re in for a treat no matter what time of day you visit. 10. LUNA

Popular dessert café, LUNA has recently opened their second outlet at Joo Chiat Road offering a wide range of both new and familiar desserts that are uber aesthetic and pretty for the ‘gram! While the original LUNA outlet at Amoy Street has a softer, botanical vibe, the new outlet is more chic and industrial, with trendy grey marble and concrete accents.

What’s special about the new outlet is that is also has a brand new outlet-exclusive dessert range titled “New Frontiers”. There’s also a new chocolate showroom where you get to witness the pastry chefs in action as they create some of LUNA’s chocolate bon bons! 11. Café Natsu

You might remember the hip café, Café Natsu that opened in Joo Chiat earlier this year to long queues for eager patrons waiting to try their modern Japanese-fusion brunch items. If you’ve yet to try Café Natsu yet, you’ll be glad to know they’ve expanded and opened a second outlet in town! The second outlet is much more accessible if you live in Central Singapore, located in the heart of Orchard on the ground floor of the newly-opened Citadines Connect City Centre Singapore hotel.

The vibes of the new Café Natsu is similar to the original, with warm burnt orange and dark green tones, accented with warm lighting and foliage. 12. Penny University

Longstanding muslim-owned artisanal coffee house, Penny University closed down their 10-year outlet in the East Coast back in October and now they’re finally back with a brand new home at Jalan Klapa! The new Penny University not only has indoor seating, but also an outdoor seating area perfect for passing cyclists or for if you’re just stopping by for a cuppa.

Located just a short walk away from Lavender or Bugis MRT, the new Penny University offers specialty coffee (of course) as well as hearty breakfast and brunch items. 13. Plus Coffee Joint

This is a new sage green and marble-themed coffee spot in Chinatown that prides themselves on quality coffee at pocket-friendly prices. You know the coffee’s going to be good as they roast and brew the coffee beans all in-house.

Space at the coffee joint is pretty limited, as they only offer a couple of bar seatings and stools placed along the walls for you to stop by and enjoy your coffee, so you’re probably better off getting your coffee to-go. Specialty coffee options include classics like Iced Long Black, Dirty Coffee, Iced Latte, Espresso and more.

14. Emporium by Wassies

Emporium by Wassies is a one-of-a-kind 2-storey coffee house with a unique concept—not only are they a café, they are also an experience store for NFT collectors! Fans of the viral Wassies NFTs will recognise platypus-esque characters plastered all over the store and on the coffee cups used.

15. ABUNDANCE

If you love Taiwanese fare, you’re probably no stranger to ABUNDANCE: a super popular and trendy café located under a HDB block in the Redhill area. The original Redhill outlet is pretty small, with only a few indoor and outdoor seating so you’ll probably need to queue if you visit during peak hours.

If you’re a hardcore fan of ABUNDANCE, or if you haven’t managed to try them yet, head to their new second outlet at Jalan Besar to sample their cult-famous Taiwanese buns, beers and more! 16. Café Kitsuné

The cult-famous Café Kitsuné from Paris has finally landed in Singapore! Located at Capitol Singapore in the City Hall area, Singapore Café Kitsuné outlet boasts a cosy garden-inspired interior with a lush outdoor patio. Like Café Kitsuné’s outlets in other parts of the world, you can also shop from a small selection of merchandise like t-shirts, cups, bottles, stationery, keychains and more.

Unique to the Singapore branch is a special menu item: the Chilli Chocolate Tart ($12), that’s perfect for if you’re feeling a little more experimental. Sugaroses is a new floral café with a beautiful floral interior, in-house florist and DIY flower arrangement services! Bask among the roses under a fully floral-adorned ceiling, with countless pink, purple and cream blooms hanging down for a whimsical mood. There will also be a floral photo wall featuring roses of varying hues for all your picture-perfect OOTDs.

18. Equate Coffee

Equate Coffee has opened a second outlet within Orchard Central, with an artful and eye-catching concrete and jungle theme complete with upside down trees! The entire café resembles a mini jungle, surrounded with plenty of lush greenery contrasted with raw and unfinished concrete.

Aside from plenty of IG-worthy spots, the new Equate Coffee also has a fully-equipped kitchen, so in addition to bakes and coffee, you’ll also be able to enjoy a decent selection of sides and sandos.
