1. The Greenhouse @ Dusit Thani Laguna

Home to the Tee Deck, Legends Bar, The Nest, and a greenhouse, Dusit Thani Laguna invites you to embark on a beguiling culinary journey surrounded by the elegance of nature, with a rich variety of cuisines. Conceptualised as a lush, forest-themed restaurant, the Greenhouse showcases picturesque views of the Masters Golf Course, and serves up a diverse selection of authentic, multi-ethnic cuisine from five show kitchens. These cuisines include Royal Thai delicacies, Nikkei cuisine, traditional Indian Tandoor, Mediterranean dishes from the pizza-oven and Chinese specialities.

Of their innumerable offerings, guests are invited to try the $138 Dry Aged Steak, $25 Laguna Beef Burger, $26 Frutti di Mare, $38 Seekh Kebab, $48 Wok Fried Kung Pao Tiger Prawns, and $31 King Crab Fried Rice, amongst a multitude of other delectable items.

2. Runes

A new Runes Coffee Roasters has opened up within the Wilmar International Limited Headquarters at one-north. Situated along the building’s ground floor, the all-new Runes café showcases a glasshouse façade with an abundance of floor-to-ceiling glass panels, natural sunlight, lush greenery, plush furnishing and wooden seating arrangements.

Accommodating a total of 15 tables and 2 long communal desks, this café serves a variety of freshly brewed coffee, pastries, $6-$8 sandwiches, $5.50 salad, $7 rosti, and protein bowls, alongside draft beers which are exclusively available at this outlet.

Of their innumerable offerings, guests are invited to try the café’s $4 White Espresso, $3 Black Espresso, $5 non-caffeinated Matcha, $5 Chocolate, and $3 Mist Valley Tea which include flavours such as Classic Breakfast, Earl Grey, Bi Luo Green Tea, Jasmine Green Tea, Chamomile and Peppermint.

3. Prairie by Craftsmen

Singapore’s independent coffee shop, renowned for serving a variety of specialty coffee and mouth-watering brunches, Craftsmen, recently expanded beyond its innumerable outlets in Clarke Quay Central, Holland Village, Mohd Sultan, Siglap V, Novena and Eastwood Centre, to launch an all-new casual café along Bukit Timah Road. Dubbed ‘Prairie By Craftsmen’, this venture presents an outdoor alfresco dine-in concept, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, at affordable prices.

Accommodating up to 40 guests at a time, the Prairie’s alfresco-dining area facilitates an abundance of natural sunlight, thanks to the restaurant’s large sunroof, which mimics that of a glasshouse. Indoors, the restaurant features an additional 40 seat dining area, positioned under warm and cosy lighting installations.

Complete with three separate menus, Prairie by Craftsmen serves breakfast in the form of Morning Granola ($13), Eggs on Toast ($12), Smoked Almond & Avocado Croissant ($16) and Acai Bowl ($15), from 8:30am to 12pm. Sharing similar menus, Prairie’s lunch and dinner selection include, Blue Mussel Pasta,  Truffle Mushroom Risotto, Fish and Chips, Ribeye Steak, Beef Oxtail, and Hokkaido Scallop Cold Pasta for an average of $24-$34, amongst a multitude of others.

4. The Bee’s Knees

Nestled in the heart of the botanic gardens, Singapore’s first and only UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Bee’s Knees offers a diverse all-day dining menu and is a fun, laid-back, family and pet-friendly garden cafe by day and casual hangout spot by night.

5. Fennel Cafe @ Active Garden

Situated a mere 300m away from the Fennel Café Flower Dome, which showcases a garden-like atmosphere, alongside uninterrupted, panoramic views of Marina Bay and the Singapore Flyer, Fennel Café at Active Garden is the latest addition to the Unlisted Collection’s array of popularised restaurant and bar chains.

Conceptualised to be the area’s go-to hotspot for healthy midday snacks and refreshments, this cafe is strategically located within Singapore’s newest non-ticketed green outdoor space, along the Waterfront Promenade which connects Marina Bay Sands to Gardens by the Bay.

6. Around Cafe

The highly anticipated glasshouse cafe finally opened its doors in late June 2021 at Tampines! Dubbed ‘Around’ cafe, this new outlet marks the brand’s second physical store in Singapore. First cropping up along 421 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 on 7th May 2021, this new outlet housed within the Alps Residences of Tampines, showcases a full glass facade and opulent swinging doors.

Much like its original store, the new Around cafe showcases a predominantly white interior with hints of faded green and beige wall paint. Decorated with a variety of flora and fauna, alongside other display ornaments, and neatly arranged circle tabletops, this cafe serves an array of homemade waffles, ice cold beverages, and ice cream flavours!

Prices featured include, $3.90 for a single scoop, $7 for a double scoop, $7.90 for a plain waffle, $10.90 for a waffle and single scoop of ice cream, plus $13.90 for a waffle with two scoops of ice cream. Around also offers cones for an additional $1, and drinks to go with each waffle for an extra $3!

7. The Glasshouse @ CHIJMES

Staying rooted in the heart of the Downtown core district of Singapore, the ever-popular Glasshouse cafe has remained at CHIJMES for the past five years. Serving up artisan toasts and fresh brews, this cafe is most often frequented by office workers and students from nearby areas.

8. Canchita

Canchita Singapore is one of Demsey Hill’s latest 2021 additions. Serving up a diverse selection of flavourful Peruvian cuisine, this restaurant is strategically positioned to face the compound’s densely forested areas.
