FAMOUS KOREAN GUKBAP RESTAURANT FROM BUSAN OPENS IN TELOK AYER!

If you’ve been to Busan, you’d probably be familiar with the brand Um Yong Baek—famed for their authentic Korean gukbap (rice and soup). Now you can get the taste of the original gukbap right here in Singapore, as Um Yong Baek has finally opened an outlet in Telok Ayer!

The piping hot gukbap is perfect for a cold rainy day, served to your table still bubbling in traditional earthenware pots. There are 2 versions of this gukbap available at Um Yong Baek: Busan and Milyang-style. The Busan-style Gukbap ($21) is a clear version, chock full of pork collar, pork cheek and pork stomach; while the Milyang-style Gukbap ($21) has a thicker, more milky broth with similar meat items like pork cheek and stomach.

As an opening special, the popular gukbaps at Um Yong Baek will be going for a promotional price of $18.50 (UP $21)! Note that the gukbap is only served during lunch (11.30am-3pm); after which a Korean BBQ-style menu is served for dinner (5.30pm-10.30pm). As Um Yong Baek is still in their soft opening stage, they only accept reservations here, no walk-ins. Reservation slots for the week are released on Fridays at 5pm.
