You’ve probably seen unique aviation-themed restaurants in Bangkok before, but what about a luxury hotel? A new airplane-inspired luxury hotel complex will be coming soon to Johor Bahru this 2026, with rooms housed in actual aircrafts.

This coming June 2026, guests can take to the skies in a different way, with the opening of 1975 Avenue and Hotel, the first-ever aviation-themed hotel experience in JB. The hotel features 2 actual Boeing 747 aircrafts, that have been repurposed and transformed and outfitted to house 18 suite rooms for guests to stay in. The hotel will feature 38 luxurious rooms, each one with a unique 70s-esque vintage travel-inspired theme and decor.

As for hotel amenities, guests can look forward to an outdoor lake-style pool, a man-made beach playground, gym, spa and sauna and in-house F&B concepts. 1975 Avenue and Hotel is located about 20 minutes away from the checkpoint. The hotel is slated to soft-open in June 2026, with the exact date to be announced at a later date.
