If you’re looking for a fun and free weekend activity, look no further than the brand new ArtScience Cinema, the museum’s very first screening room dedicated just for film screenings!
The ArtScience Cinema is a silent cinema, so you’ll be using high quality surround-sound wireless headphones to watch the movie (don’t bother bringing your own since they won’t work with the system).
Expect a stellar line-up of award-winning documentaries, film festival films and popular blockbusters like Dune, 24 Frames, Leaning into the Wind: Andy Goldsworthy and more. Currently, the films screened as part of the cinema’s opening programme titled: We Tread in a Garden of Spells will be available from now till 31st July 2022.
The cinema will be showing a mix of both free movies as well as paid ones, and you can make a booking to secure your seat or purchase a ticket here. Free movies now showing include the likes of Fantastic Mr. Fox, Where the Wild Things Are; and ArtScience is having a promotion for Dune where tickets are selling for just $7!
