Fresh Produce & Japanese Crafts @ The MUJI Community Market

From now till 28 April, immerse yourself in a vast array of agricultural products, specialties and crafts, imported mainly from the local suppliers of Kyushu, Japan.

Available exclusively for a limited time only at the MUJI Community Market at Plaza Singapura, this pop-up event will showcase a diverse selection of locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables from Japan over two weekends from 16 – 18 April and 23 – 25 April, alongside dried goods and even vegan-friendly Samurai Ramen that’s made without animal products, fish, MSG or alcohol.

Other items for sale include Japanese textiles and crafts, plus other snacks in the form of Kenroku potato chips and slices. Also known as the Fantasy Sweet Potato, this pop-up event marks the first time that Kenroku sweet potatoes are sold in Singapore. Featuring an amber flesh, and a sweetness level which increases as it processes heat, the Kenroku sweet potato is often used in the manufacturing of Japanese sweets and other traditional snacks.

Complete with a diverse range of lifestyle accessories such as azuma bags, carry bags, and mask cases adorned by traditional Japanese Cloth Dyeing designs, by Kamezaki Senkou – a studio best known for manually producing tairyo-bata, the large flags which were flown by fishermen for good fortune.
