GIANT TITAN-ESQUE SCULPTURES BY ARTIST THOMAS DAMBO COMING TO SENTOSA THIS DECEMBER 2022!

Internationally renowned recycling artist Thomas Dambo is known for his larger-than-life sculptures that showcase exactly how you can turn trash into treasure. This December 2022. Thomas Dambo will be bringing his iconic giant titan-like sculptures to Singapore shores—marking the first time he’s bringing his work to Southeast Asia!

Known as the Explorers of Sentosa, these colossal sculptures are made from discarded materials like reclaimed wood, wooden pallets, crates and plastic waste. These recycled materials will be constructed together with the help of local volunteers to create amazing works of art. The 4 sculptures coming to Singapore are part of a larger collection, or family, of 97 sculptures in total; with the rest of the sculptures being displayed in other parts of the world like Denmark, USA and more.

Brought to you in collaboration with Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) these beautiful giant troll-esque sculptures feel as if they’ve tumbled right out of a fairytale, and they all carry the message of sustainability. They act as a visual reminder to visitors that trash still has value, and of the utmost importance of using Earth’s resources responsibly. Spot the Explorers of Sentosa at 4 secret locations along Palawan Beach from December 2022 all through till the end of 2024. Access to the installations will be free to the public.
