Pattern Caffeine: Hidden Cafe in JB with Closet as Door, Serves Japanese Rice Bowls

There are plenty of hipster cafes in JB, but a hidden one is relatively rare. We don’t mean those that are tucked in a secluded area, but one that’s concealed on purpose. Pattern Caffeine’s the latest eatery in JB to adopt this secret concept, and to top it off, it has serious vintage vibes.

It’s easy to get distracted by the retro furniture outfitted at almost every corner, but the entrance to the cafe is a closet and a shelf with some clothes hanging.

Menu wise, they specialise in Japanese rice bowls, though limited. Choose between dishes such as the Smoked Duck Donburi or Salmon Donburi that comes packed with vibrant ingredients like tamago, cherry tomatoes and cucumber slices.
