Pompompurin Cafe – Singapore's First Sanrio Character Cafe

The very first Sanrio character cafe in Singapore, Pompompurin Cafe at Orchard Central is also the first Pompompurin cafe in Southeast Asia. First introduced in 1996, the adorable little golden retriever dog with his iconic brown beret celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, and will take centre stage in the heart of Orchard alongside some of his friends which includes a hamster, a mouse, a frog as well as a bird.
Conceptualised by Sanrio Japan, the 1,900 sq ft cafe features all things Pompompurin – from furnishings to wallpaper to cutlery and even your food and drinks. As each Pompompurin Cafe is themed in accordance to the city’s culture, Pompompurin Cafe in Singapore takes on a ‘city in a garden’ theme – with the cafe furnished with flora and fauna. The 78-seater cafe  also houses four four-seater booths, affectionately called “Tomodachi House” (translated as Friends House), which features each of Pompompurin’s friends: Mint the Frog, Bagel the Squirrel, Coconut the Monkey and Macaroon the Golden Retriever respectively.
