[SHOUT REVIEWS] ROOFTOP RESTAURANT, SKYBAR & SPA IN TOWN WITH STUNNING PANORAMIC VIEWS OF THE CITY!

Need a place to relax, unwind, dine all at the same time? The new 181 Mansion at 313@Somerset is the place to be, a stunning rooftop restaurant and bar with an in-house spa, plus panoramic views of the gorgeous city skyline!

The restaurant is located on the 12th floor of Orchard Central, boasting expansive views of the city from the restaurant’s outdoor dining area surrounded by a lush garden. The indoor dining area of the restaurant is also encased in clear glass windows, so you can still get a good view of the outside and even watch the sunset if you come in the evening.

The restaurant’s decor is elegant and modern, and would look super romantic at night when the candles are lit—perfect for intimate and quiet candlelit dates. 181 Mansion boasts modern Asian-fusion cuisine made with classic French cooking techniques that’s not only presented in a refined and elegant manner, but also has the taste to back it up.

Mala Steak Tartare, $28

One unique menu item that we enjoyed is the Mala Steak Tartare ($28), a surprisingly pleasant starter that even those who don’t enjoy raw meat will appreciate. If you’re a fan of mala, you’ll definitely like this dish, as the mala flavour is spicy enough yet not too overpowering or numbing, and pretty much cancels out the “rawness” of the steak tartare. This tastes more like a spicy dip instead of the usual steak tartare, and goes well with the freshly toasted bread.

Vietnamese Beef Cheeks Annatto, $45

Daishi Risotto, $48

Beef lovers will also like the Vietnamese Beef Cheeks Annatto ($45), a beautifully plated beef dish that’s perfectly fork-tender and flavourful, paired with a creamy cashew nut curry sweet potato mash. The Daishi Risotto ($48) is also a good dish to share, a rich and creamy risotto topped with perfectly grilled and tender Iberico Char Siu. This might be a little too much to have on your own as the risotto is quite cheesy and could get quite heavy after a while.

Heirloom Tomato ($26)

Thai Style Crab & Scallop Cake, $28

If you like seafood, try the Thai Style Crab & Scallop Cake ($28), hefty seafood patties filled with chunks of crab and scallop. We love how they didn’t skimp on the crab and scallop pieces and you can still see chunks of seafood when you cut into the cake. The homemade fermented Thai chilli also gives a much needed kick to the crab cakes.

Aside from tantalising dining options with an amazing view, 181 Mansion also offers guests a fully equipped spa for some much-deserved rest and relaxation. The spa has a total of 6 rooms, including a spacious VIP room that’s equipped with a jacuzzi and private shower that’s ideal for couples or a pair of besties.

Turn up the heat in their Crystal Steam Room for a soothing and tranquil time of unwinding. The Crystal Steam Room is essentially a dry sauna fitted with pink himalayan salts in the walls that provide detoxing and purifying properties and help to improve skin and soothe sore muscles.

181 Mansion Spa also manufactures their very own 100% pure essential oils, with 18 different oils like Olibanum, Clary Sage, Cassia, Clove, Bergamot, Palmarosa, Rosemary, Orange and more. Guests to the spa will get to concoct their own bottle of oil that will be used during their spa treatment/massage depending on their preference or concerns.

The spa offers various types of massages to cater to all sorts of needs, such as for health, aging, breast care, headaches and more; as well as massages catered specifically for men and women. They also offer various facial services like contouring, anti-aging, purifying and more. For more details on what 181 Mansion’s spa offers, see here or call/text 9752 3181 to make an appointment.

Butterfly Kisses, $20

Whiskey Smash, $20

After a relaxing at the spa or a long day at work, let loose at the skybar and enjoy a specially handcrafted cocktail or two. Choose from beautifully curated cocktails like Sunset Margarita ($20), Butterfly Kisses ($20), Whiskey Smash ($20) or Galaxy Freeze ($24), just to name a few. 181 Mansion is ideal for dates or special occasions when you’re looking to splurge a little more as food prices might be a little steep for casual meals. With food priced at an average of $20 and up per dish even for brunch items, you’re definitely paying for the quality, and of course, for the gorgeous view.
