1. i Light Singapore

i Light makes a comeback this June, after a long 2-year hiatus! As Asia’s leading sustainable light festival, this year’s i Light is themed Spark of Light, and will centre around the colour violet.

Most of the installations featured in this year’s i Light are free for the public to visit, and will be set up in various locations around Marina Bay. Look forward to gorgeous light fixtures like Scribble Jam, Plastic Whale, Ruffled Ice, Eyes of the Sea and more. For the full line-up of installations, see here

2. Wings of Time

The highly popular and award-winning show, Wings of Time at Sentosa has also reopened to the public this May, with spectacular light and water effects that’s sure to excite the whole family!

The exciting Wings of Time show is about friendship and courage, and features extravagant laser, fire and water effects, coupled with an epic soundtrack and finally ending with a magnificent fireworks display. Shows are happening nightly and tickets start from $16.20.

3. Chillbox

The fifth edition of Eatbox’s mini festivals is here, and it’s called Chillbox, an amalgamation of all the good vibes and good food you could ever want! Chillbox is happening across two weekends, starting from 20th May 2022.

Vendors participating in Chill Box include the likes of Tenft: Kopi & Bites, The Chichis, Chickata, Ice On You, Bagel’s Origin and more! There will also be a live DJ performance by Project Revelry on the first day of Chillbox!

4. The State of Print 

Designed and produced by FABLE, The State of Print is a new and eclectic exhibition centred around the world of print—both paper and digital. The free exhibition aims to evoke thoughts about the future of print material in a growing digital age.

The quirky black and pink-themed exhibition features over 40 contributed posters by designers from over 30 countries all around the world, all in response to the theme: “Is Print Dead?”.

5. Rose Romance 

Experience an idyllic Italian summer with the new Rose Romance at Gardens by the Bay. Held in conjunction with the Embassy of Italy, Rose Romance features all sorts of rose varieties in gorgeous Italian-inspired installations.

Expect to see landscapes of Italy, with replicas of narrow and winding alleyways, rustic rose arches and even a representation of the famous Romeo and Juliet balcony for some super IG-worthy shots!

6. Singapore International Festival of Arts 2022

This year’s Singapore International Festival of Arts (SIFA) 2022 will focus on original creations and new interpretations of works done by local and international artists, both in the physical and virtual space.

7. Air Force Museum 

After a long hiatus, the Air Force Museum in Singapore is finally open to the public again! The museum is free to visit and acts as a physical embodiment of the history, heritage and values of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF).

For first-time visitors to the museum, expect original artifacts to be on display, along with hands-on and interactive elements to help illustrate how the RSAF has grown since day one. You’ll also get the opportunity to view fighter jets, missiles and more up close!

8. Cats of the World Purrzaar

If you’re a cat mom (or dad) or just a cat lover, you’ll definitely want to bookmark the Cats of the World Purrzaar for your next weekend outing! Happening on 28th-29th May 2022, the cat Purrzaar has everything your cat-loving heart desires.

Held in partnership with Cat Welfare Society (CWS) and Crane, you’ll find anything from crafts, workshops, cat merchandise, cat products and even a cat adoption drive where you can bring home a furry feline of your own!

9. As You Were

Hosted by the National Arts Council Singapore, As You Were is a series of public art installations inspired by the pandemic and embracing our future at the endemic stage. 

All of the artworks speak to notions of hope, recovery and transformation and will be located at different parks around Singapore. There will be 5 art installations in total, and they will be set up at 3 parks: Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park, Jurong Lake Gardens and Punggol Waterway Park.

10. XperienceAR Museum 

We’ve all experienced going to museums, but have you ever been to an AR museum? The MINT Museum of Toys has just unveiled its latest AR museum experience, where you get to explore the museum in AR!

See some of the museum’s prized vintage toys and characters and hear their stories by using one of the 37 Augmented Reality Cards to trigger the AR touchpoints around the museum.
