With/Out is an interpretation of Paddy Chew’s monologue, conceptualised by performance and moving-image artist Loo Zihan. In 1999, Paddy Chew made waves in the local art scene with his docu-theatre monologue, Completely With/Out Character. It was an account of his experiences as the first Singaporean AIDS victim to come out to the public. Paddy passed away a few months after the end of the production. With/Out uses archived content and new material created by Loo Zihan, in collaboration with award-winning performer Janice Koh to showcase a multimedia experience that not only preserves the memory of Paddy’s monologue, but also relates it to our contemporary experience.

Date: Ongoing till 26 March 2017
