1-FLOWERHILL: STUNNING 2-STOREY VINTAGE BOTANICAL RESTAURANT SITS ATOP OF A HILL IN SENTOSA

This stunning new floral-inspired restaurant, café and bar in Sentosa is where wedding dreams are made of. Brought to you by the folks at 1-Group is the new 1-Flowerhill, a gorgeous multi-concept destination housed in a 2-storey colonial bungalow. 

The moment we entered the grounds of 1-Flowerhill, we felt as if we had stepped into a classical mansion, or even the set of Pride & Prejudice. The massive space sits atop of a hill in Sentosa and boasts sprawling garden spaces filled with lush flora and fauna all around. We loved the scenic outdoor terrace area that provides a clear view of the newly-opened Sentosa Sensoryscape and waterfront beyond.

There’s plenty of photo-worthy spots at every corner: from balcony viewpoints, spiral staircases, garden walkways and more—the space is definitely perfect for intimate weddings or parties. The outdoor spaces are also pet-friendly, so you can bring along your fuzzy friends for an afternoon brunch or high tea affair.

If you’re not looking to dine al fresco, there’s also plenty of seating indoors, where the beautiful botanical theme continues. You’ll see lots of classical and vintage architecture, with plush seats and romantic floral touches throughout the interior as well. 1-Flowerhill houses a total of 3 signature dining concepts to take you from day to night: Wildseed Café, Wildseed Bar & Grill and Camille.

‘Lok Lok’ with Asam Pedas Broth, $25

We sampled items from both Wildseed Café and Wildseed Bar & Grill, both of which highlighted some of our favourite local flavours. One of our favourites from the Café menu has got to be the unique ‘Lok Lok’ with Asam Pedas Broth ($25), a twist on the iconic street favourite. The asam pedas fish broth was tangy, subtly spicy and oh-so addictive, with various skewers including prawns, scallops, smoked duck, quail eggs, konnyaku and more.

Afternoon Tea Set, $58

The Afternoon Tea Set ($58) is also not to be missed, and can serve 2 persons, which works out to $29 per person. Indulge in a series of local-inspired treats in partnership with the iconic Rempapa, including Kueh Kosui, Kueh Salat, Kueh Pie Tee and more; along with other high tea items like Pistachio & Pear Cake, Crab Salad Croissant, Mini French Toast and more.

Barbecue Iberico Pork Rib ‘Char Siew’ Style, $34

Kelong Prawn & Scallop Pizza, $27

From the Bar & Grill menu: the Barbecue Iberico Pork Rib ‘Char Siew’ Style ($34) is a great option for meat-lovers, with tantalising smoky aroma and meat that is absolutely fall-off-the-bone tender. The Soft-Shell Chilli Crab Linguine ($29) also packs a punch, and is topped with an entire soft-shell crab that’s deep-fried to golden, crispy perfection. 

While 1-Flowerhill’s Sentosa location might be quite out of the way, we’d say it’s worth the trip down for special occasions, especially for the gorgeous panoramic views. And if you’re planning an outdoor wedding or party soon, 1-Flowerhill should definitely be on your list.
