1. B for Bagel

If you’ve been to Gangnam in Korea, you’re probably no stranger to this popular bagel joint: B for Bagel, known for their affordable sweet and savoury bagels that are freshly made daily. If you didn’t already know, B for Bagel has opened in Singapore at Tanglin Mall where you can get their bagels from just $3.90!

On the menu are savoury bagel options like Bacon Jalapeno ($5.80), Walnutberry ($5.80), Fig Chutney ($5.50), Black Olive ($5.20) and more. For something more unique, you can try one of their sweet dessert bagels: Peach Cloud ($8.90), Banana Cloud ($7.50) or Black Turtle Bean Mascarpone ($7.90). They also have a cute retail section that also acts as a great IG spot!

2. Bag Me Up

If you live in Everton Park, here’s one friendly neighbourhood bagel house serving up affordable, chunky bagels that you should take note of! The space is super compact so seating is extremely limited, with only a single rattan chair and bench area within the café itself, so it’s probably best if you get their goods to-go.

The café serves some pretty unique bagelwiches like the unagi-filled Bag Me Up Signature ($16.50), We Will Wagyu ($16.50), Brekkie ($10.50), Swee N Chic ($12.50), and more. They also have a couple of drink options such as coffee and milk teas like the White Peach Fresh Milk Tea ($4.50), Osmanthus Fresh Milk Tea ($4.50) or Ceylon Fresh Milk Tea ($4.50), each topped with creamy foam on top.

3. Keen’s Bagelry

Here’s a spot where you can get your bagel fix and shopping done all in once place! Keen’s Bagelry is located within the Curbside Crafters craft market and specialises in hand-twisted artisanal NYC-style bagels. They offer a range of bagelwiches, or you can customise your own bagel with their selection of schmears, and add ons.

4. Two Men Bagel House

This OG bagel joint is probably the one that kickstarted the bagel craze in Singapore, and for good reason as evident in the way their bagels are always sold out early in the day. Two Men Bagel House (TMBH)is a cult-favourite bagel house among bagel fans with their many variations and bagel flavours that are freshly made daily.

The menu at each outlet differs, but favourites include the Lox ($17.30), Avo Baco ($16.20), Personal Best ($16.20) and more. You can also get your bagels solo from just $3.20 or DIY them with your favourite toppings or schmears. TMBH has 3 outlets: Tanjong Pagar, Novena and Holland Village.

5. Wooly’s Bagels

Wooly’s Bagels is a Muslim-owned bagel joint in Farrer Park with stuffed bagels that are halal-friendly! Pick from one of their loaded bagels like the classic Bagel & Lox ($14.90), Pastramania ($14.90), Chic Teriyaki ($12.80) and more. Or opt for something more unique like the spicy local-inspired Otah Kau ($12.60).

You can pick between 3 bagel flavours as your base: plain, cheese or sesame. One unique item you should try if you’re game is the Bagel SMORE’S ($7.90) an unconventional dessert bagel made with ooey gooey marshmallow and Nutella for that IG-worthy pull.

You might know Whiskdom for their desserts and sweets, especially their viral blackout brownies and chunky cookies, but did you know they now have bagels too? Whiskdom’s bagels are available at their original outlet at Bugis, as well as their sister concept, Ooze by Whiskdom at Orchard Central.

If you’re working in the CBD area, this bagel joint is the perfect spot for a quick snack or lunch fix. Beigelhaus is a Muslim-owned café and deli with honest bagels, coffee, shakes and more! You can be sure you’re getting your money’s worth here as bagels are stuffed absolutely to the brim with ingredients.

Schmear boasts Singapore’s only authentic New York-style bagels, with only the freshest hand-crafted bagels daily. 9. Jiababa

This is a super unique bagel joint: run by two Taiwanese sisters, Jiababa offers one-of-a-kind Taiwanese bagels that are super chewy and chunky! These bagels and fillings are all handmade, oil-free and minimally sweetened, so you can rest easy and feast on Jiababa’s treats whenever the bagel craving strikes!

Jiababa opens pre-orders for their highly popular bagels periodically, with restocks announced on their Instagram page. Flavours also vary each time, but you can expect unique renditions like Coffee Bagel with Pistachio Butter, Sencha Bagel with Taiwanese Honey Cake, Black Sesame Bagel with Black Sesame Brownie and more!
