1. Explorers of Sentosa by Thomas Dambo

Four giant sculptures have landed at Sentosa’s Palawan Beach! These massive titan-like sculptures are the creation of internationally acclaimed recycling artist Thomas Dambo, and marks his very first installation in Southeast Asia.

Dubbed the Explorers of Sentosa, these four sculptures are made from upcycled wood and plastic. Snap pictures with the striking family of giants, namely: Reef the Chief, Curious Sue, Little Lyn and Dreamer Dee, while discovering the hidden parts of Palawan Beach! These installations are free for the public.

2. River Hongbao 2023

Singapore’s largest and most spectacular CNY festival is back this year at Gardens by the Bay, and admission is completely free, no tickets required! The star of the show has got to be the 18 gorgeous and enchanting lanterns that will be lit up, such as the God of Fortune, Dance of Spring, The 12 Zodiacs and more!

Plus, enjoy nightly stage performances and shows by Chinese cultural troupes, Getai singers and Mediacorp artistes! Visitors to the festival can also look forward to an amusement park with rides and carnival games, tons of F&B options at the food street, a CNY-themed exhibition and more! 3. Dahlia Dreams

Usher in the Year of the Rabbit with Gardens by the Bay’s new Dahlia Dreams display, featuring 100 rabbits, a 1.5-metre driftwood sculpture, a 6-metre tall lantern set and more! Explore reinterpretations of popular Chinese fables like “The Hare and the Tortoise”, as well as displays of popular cultural aspects like lion dance, spring couplets, CNY goodies and many more!

There will be over 2000 flowering plants on display, with over 40 varieties of dahlias, alongside CNY blooms like celosias, chrysanthemums, cymbidiums, marigolds and pussy willows, just to name a few—providing the perfect backdrop for all your CNY OOTDs!

4. Bay Spring Festival

If you missed the Great Bay Fiesta last December, don’t fret! The Bay Spring Carnival is here to satisfy all your festival needs, with the largest selection of carnival rides, illuminated displays, fairground treats, nostalgic games and more! Plus, no admission ticket are needed, and you can get your carnival credits here

Just for the CNY season, there will be a mesmerising Cherry Blossom Garden complete with fairy lights and lit-up inflatables—perfect for snapping tons of pictures for some truly magical memories. Stay tuned to the enchanting light-up of the garden every evening as well! The carnival also opens till 1am on CNY Day 1 and 2, so you can enjoy the festivities all night long!

6. Light To Night Festival 2023

This year’s Light To Night Festival carries the theme of “Here and Now” and will be held at various venues at the Civic District. Highlights from the festival include mesmerising installations like Ephemeral: giant inflatable bubble-like displays that have a holographic sheen during the day and light up in multiple colours at night. You can also expect live music performances, shows, dance acts and more!

You can also look forward to popular light projections at the facades of Victoria Concert Hall, National Gallery Singapore, The Arts House and Asian Civilisations Museum. 7. Bountiful Thrills

Celebrate the Lunar New Year at Universal Studios Singapore (USS) with Bountiful Thrills! USS is transformed into a cheery spring-filled wonderland with a scenic cherry blossom street, festive meet and greets with your favourite characters and more! 8. 兔gether

The Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) has a new bunny-themed exhibition that’s aptly dubbed 兔gether (tù-gether, or together) at their roof garden filled with adorable IG-worthy installations to welcome the Year of the Rabbit!

The rooftop exhibition is free to enter, and features various mixed-media artworks about some of the characters you see in CNY mythology. On selected nights, you can also enjoy a free light show! Light shows are from 7.30pm to 8.30pm on these dates: 28th January, 25th February, 25th March.

9. Chingay 2023

The highly popular Chingay Parade Singapore returns to the F1 Pit this festive season with a myriad of experiences including arts, culture, music, heritage and more! This year’s theme is “Embrace Tomorrow” and calls on us to cherish the present while welcoming the future together as a community with hope and confidence!

10. Disney100: Experience Wonder at Jewel

Disney fans are bound to have a blast at the new Disney100: Experience Wonder at Jewel, celebrating Disney’s 100th anniversary! Experience true wonder with a Disney-fied version of the iconic light show at Jewel’s Rain Vortex, plus snap photos at the striking all-silver Disney100 archway and 4-metre tall platinum Mickey statue situated right in front of the Rain Vortex.
