1. Paracord Weaving

There’s no better feeling than using a piece of furniture that you handmade yourself, and at GRAYE Studio you’ll get to do just that! Learn how to make use of various weaving and knotting methods with paracords and fabric scraps to make a functional outdoor stool that you can fold and bring around!

The Paracord Weaving Workshop package (from $240) is available on Wednesdays for a minimum group size of two persons, which means each person pays $120; or if you’re going in a group of five, each person only forks out $100. During the 3-hour guided hands-on workshop, you’ll get to pick between various colourful (or not) paracords and fabrics to create your own one-of-a-kind stool! All materials will be provided.

2. Tufted Vase

Tufting rugs, bags, coasters or mirrors are pretty common, but did you know you can also tuft a vase? At Studio An, you’ll get to turn your tufted piece into a fluffy and handy vase or stationery holder! Not only are the tufted vases functional, they also act as little pieces of art you can display at home or at your desk!

A single 4-hour session for the Tufted Vase Workshop is priced at $150 per person, and all necessary materials and guidance will be provided to you. Make sure to save your reference pictures before your session, and your finished vases will be delivered to you in about 3-4 weeks!

3. Pleated Bag

Pleated bags are in style, and you can DIY your very own at GINLEE Studio’s MAKE In Shop Experience! During the workshop, you’ll be able to learn about the fundamentals of pleating, and make your very own bag from start to finish! Pick your bag colour and the type of pleat design, and use paper moulds to create the unique pleats in your bag.

Once your bag has been “baked” you can take it home right away, all in just 1.5 hours! The workshop is priced at $78 per person and is conducted at GINLEE’s Great World or Raffles City outlet. Note that only GINLEE’s Pack and Medium sized bags are available for this experience.

4. Suncatcher

Create your dream Pinterest-inspired room by hanging one of these suncatchers to capture the sunlight and rainbows! Make your own suncatcher at The Cozy Cabin’s Suncatcher Workshop using an array of various pretty crystals and beads in a multitude of colours for the perfect suncatcher that’s entirely yours.

The workshop lasts 2.5 hours and is priced at $100 per person, with even more discounts when you bring more friends along! Note that the workshop requires a minimum of 2 persons to start. 5. Rose Soap Flower

This isn’t your regular soap making workshop: Unmi Soap lets you create intricate pieces of art using soap with their Rose Flower Soap Making Class! Learn how to make a gorgeous and life-like rose using soap paste, perfect for gifting to a loved one or displaying as an art piece.

During the 2-hour lesson, you’ll be working on crafting a single rose, making each rose petal one by one and piecing them all together. All materials and guidance will also be provided and the lesson costs $58 per person. Aside from rose-shaped soaps, Unmi also offers carnation flower soap making classes. 6. Linocut Printing

Learn the basics of linocut carving and printing at Artefakts’ Linocut Printing workshop where you’ll get to print your own artwork in single or multiple colours! Trace your design on the lino surface, carve the lino block using linocut blades and ink the image with a roller to print the image onto paper or fabric surfaces!

There are 2 options to this workshop, a single 2.5 hour class where you’ll learn Mono-colour Linocut Printing (single colour), or take it a step further with a 2 x 2.5 hour session where you can try your hand at Duo-Colour Linocut Printing (2 colours)! The workshop starts at $80 per person, and all materials will be provided. You’ll go home with a carved linoleum block that you can use over and over again, plus your mono/duo-coloured print. 7. Palette Knife/Piping Textured Art

Ditch the paintbrushes and create a different kind of painting using unique tools like palette knives and piping tips for one-of-a-kind 3D, textured art! Art Pop Studio’s Palette Knife/Piping Technique Textured Art Workshop teaches you how to mix colours using various acrylic mediums, as well as layering techniques to create textured art.

All materials like tools, paint and canvas will be provided, and you’ll be able to try your hand at making floral, wavy or abstract art using the palette knife, or cake-like 3D patterns using the piping method. 8. 3D Floral Jelly Cake

Make art and eat it too at this unique 3D Floral Jelly Cake Workshop by k.fleur! This beginner-friendly workshop lets you try your hand at the viral 3D jelly art, specifically on how to make life-like florals like peonies, marigolds, roses and more under a clear jelly cake to create a gorgeous jiggly floral jelly cake that’s too pretty to eat!

Currently, the next workshop date is on 21st February and 21st March 2023, from 9am to 2pm, and you can DM k.fleur on Instagram to enquire or secure your slot. The 5-hour workshop is priced at $228 per person and includes materials that you can take home: 3D flower tools, 2x jelly cakes, 2x packets of jelly powder and 2 jelly recipes. 9. Leather Tote/Bucket Bag Workshop

Stand out from the crowd sporting a one-of-a-kind leather bag you made yourself with Kult Atelier’s Tote Bag or Bucket Bag workshop! You’ll be crafting the bag from start to finish: from tracing and cutting material from templates, punch lacing holes, hand-stitching your bag and customising the straps and handles!

You’ll also get to personalise your bag even further with your name or initials using any of Kult Atelier’s 10 fonts and 20 colours. The Tote Bag Workshop starts from $249 per person and is a 4-hour session, while the Bucket Bag Workshop is $299 per person and is a 6-hour session. All materials and guidance will be provided during the workshops, and no prior experience is required.

10. Woven Wall Hangings

Always wanted to learn how to weave? At Magpie & Giggles’ Learn to Weave Workshop, you’ll get to learn the art of slow crafting and how to weave your very own wall hanging using handspun yarn! Learn how to work a wooden loom and other weaving tools to weave an aesthetic wall hanging in your chosen colour palette! The workshop is priced at $90 per person, and you’ll get to take home your handcrafted woven art piece to display!

You also have the option to add on a take-home loom kit for $40 during booking or after class for you to kickstart your hobby. The kit will also include a set of art yarn in your chosen colour palette, specially spun for you by Magpie & Giggles’ founder!
