6 Boutique Hostels in Singapore for Staycations With Friends

In short, boutique hostels are small independent “poshtels” that put hotels to shame. They’re furnished luxuriously and equipped with all the creature comforts you desire – from air-conditioning to wifi. So if hotel staycations are out of your price range, boutique hostels might just be the answer. You could book out a four-pod room with your friends and have a fun staycation at a quarter of the price. You might even get to make a few international friends as you mingle with travellers. Here we have narrowed down 5 boutique hostels in Singapore that are perfect for that weekend staycation.
1.The Pod
The POD is one of the latest additions to the boutique hostel scene. They have 83 capsules furnished in minimalist luxury. The hostel also offers complimentary laundry service, hot buffet breakfast and Nespresso coffee and high-speed Wi-Fi access. It’s located at Beach Road, which is a stone’s throw from the bustling cultural enclave of Haji Lane and Arab Street.

3. Vintage Inn Boutique Hostel
Vintage Inn was started by 4 friends who worked in the hostel and hotel line. They identified a demand among backpackers and tourists, for higher standards of accomodation while maintaining the economic aspects of a backpacker’s hostel. The hostel is located in Little India, in a heritage conservation shophouse built in early 1900s. The hostel serves a unique breakfast of Putu Mayam, a traditional South Indian dish. Props to them for ditching the boring cereal and toast for local flavours.

6. Adler Luxury Hostel

The hostel was transformed from what was left of an ancient pawn shop and tea house, into a beautifully furnished luxury hostel. Adler has a lot to live up to, being ranked the 8th best hostel in the world by USA Today. It’s not hard to see where the “luxury” part of their brand name comes from. The place is fitted with antique furnishings and beautiful floorings, giving off an elegant and posh vibe.
