They say that imitation is the best form of flattery, and for globally acclaimed homegrown label, Charles & Keith, it seems that they’ve truly made it big. This Singaporean TikToker Ken Poon (@kenpgl) has recently come across a store in China that bears a very similar likeness to the original Charles & Keith:

At first glance, the store gives off the same vibe and feel as your regular Charles & Keith stores, with a sleek and clean minimalist aesthetic. Even the store layout and displays of the footwear and bags are pretty much identical—if we were to walk past the store we’d easily mistake it for the real deal. The only glaringly obvious difference is in the name: “CHFPIBS & KSLTH”, which is totally off from the original.

The most hilarious part about this “fake” Charles & Keith is how far off from the original name it is, and how it just seems to be made up of a jumble of random letters, with only the first and last letters of each word being accurate. Netizens also share the same sentiment, with many comments point out how “funny” the whole situation is, and also wondering how on earth one is meant to pronounce the name:
Taking a closer look inside the store, it seems that “CHFPIBS & KSLTH” product offerings are also pretty similar to Charles & Keith’s original designs—a more affordable dupe of the brand, if you will.
