You’ve probably heard of DRIM before: they’re an upscale steakhouse in Singapore that’s been frequented by celebrities and K-Pop idols alike, including names like Eric Nam, Tontawan, Dayoung and more. And now, DRIM has just unveiled a brand new concept at Resorts World Sentosa’s WEAVE mall, DRIM Gold, that’s even more elevated than before.

DRIM Gold offers a unique experience, with stunning cave-themed interiors—from the walkway entrance to the walls of the restaurant. The space seamlessly blends raw textural cave elements with traditional Korean hanok-style features. And the result is a space that’s modern and striking, while still maintaining a sense of hominess and warmth that lets you know you’re in for a great meal.

Hanwoo Beef, $102/portion

Jeju Black Pork, $38/portion; DRIM Gold Prime Cut, $42/portion

If you’re familiar with DRIM’s brand, they’re known for their premium BBQ cuts, and here is no different. DRIM Gold is one of the few places in Singapore where you can enjoy coveted cuts like Korean Hanwoo beef and Jeju Black Pork. All the meats here are skillfully cooked for you to your desired doneness—something we always appreciate, as it lets us really enjoy the meats without worrying about overcooking them. Of course, you can’t go wrong with the Hanwoo Beef ($102/portion), which has a flavourful beefy aroma without being overly gamey. It also had a great balance of marbled fattiness while still maintaining a good bite.

Eobok Jaengban, $138
One menu item that’s exclusive to DRIM Gold and worth trying is their Eobok Jaengban ($138), a Korean-style hotpot that’s layered with thinly-sliced beef brisket, white fungus, ginkgo nuts and cordyceps mushrooms. The star of this dish is the meat, which is cooked until its fall-apart tender, and the broth makes for a super hearty and comforting meal that’s great for sharing.

Scampi, $77

Abalone, $88

Kimchi Oyster, $25

Buckwheat Cabbage Pancake, $28

DRIM Signature Noodle, $33
For seafood lovers, they’ve also got a selection of fresh and live seafood, like the Scampi ($77) and Abalone ($88). If we could pick between the two, we would definitely go for the abalone; they use live abalones instead of frozen ones, and grill them to perfection so that they’re perfectly tender and not hard to chew at all. We also enjoyed the Buckwheat Cabbage Pancake ($28) for its combination of both chewy and crunchy textures; and you definitely can’t go wrong with their crowd-favourite DRIM Signature Noodle ($33) either.
In terms of ambience, attentive service and taste, we must say, DRIM Gold really does check all the boxes. But is it really worth the hefty price tag? If you do decide to give DRIM Gold a try, be prepared to splurge, as it’s definitely not your usual KBBQ spot—just as a gauge, a meal at DRIM Gold can easily set you back a couple of hundred dollars, especially if you’re getting multiple portions of meat for KBBQ. But we think it’s definitely worth a visit, especially if you’re celebrating a special occasion.
