First opened in Tokyo by Chef Kensuke Sakai (the youngest contestant to appear on Iron Chef), Singapore’s very own Nikunohi is the brand’s first and only overseas branch. One of the seven Japanese restaurants in Eat At Seven concept located at Suntec City Mall, diners can look forward to satisfying their carnivorous cravings with their authentic beef and premium meat offerings. The 50-seater restaurant offers a wide range of Yakiniku meat platters, which are marinated in-house for maximum enjoyment.

This festive season, diners can enjoy two new offerings as part of NikuNoHi’s Roast Beef Festival. Made with premium Australian Black Angus beef,  the Roast Beef Salad (S$15.80++) and Roast Beef Don (S$18.80++) feature generous portions of tender beef slices that are slow roasted to perfection. For those looking for a lighter meal or appetiser, the Roast Beef Salad is a great option with fresh greens, ponzu jelly and 200 grams of roast beef all tossed together to make a delicious and refreshing treat. We especially loved how the citrusy ponzu jelly brought everything together delightfully in this appetising dish.

The Roast Beef Don would satisfy those with a bigger and beefier appetite. Think generous amounts of beef slices, tossed in a homemade sauce and piled atop a bed of fluffy Japanese rice, served with poached egg and a zesty wasabi mayo sauce. This is an indulgent and protein rich meal that offers a lot of value for money.

If all that meat is still not enough for you, the various cuts offered in the Kiwami Plate ($142++) should do the trick. Featuring A4 Toriyama Wagyu Beef curated from Gunma, this Yakiniku platter features Kiwami Karubi (beef ribs), Kiwami Loos (beef loin), Kiwami Harami (beef skirt) and Special Gyutan (beef tongue). The 4 cuts (80g each) are served with slices of pumpkin, thick cuts of leek, mushroom and peppers. Diners can choose to grill the meats themselves or have the chef grill it for them upon request. Curious to how beef tongue tastes like? The thin slices of Special Gyutan are deliciously soft, slightly chewy and overall very palatable. As with the rest of the cuts which were tender, juicy and very flavourful.
