The high tea set includes playful and adorable Paddington-inspired treats, including sweets that are shaped like Paddington’s famous leather suitcase, cakes made to look like London’s iconic red double-decker buses and more. You’ll also be able to savour items infused with oranges and marmalade—Paddington’s favourite!
Some of the standout items from the set include the Clementine Marmalade Sandwich with Honey Brioche, that’s shaped like a mini toast with a crunchy and sugar-crusted exterior. We also enjoyed the Royal Hazelnut Praline that’s shaped to look like Paddington’s leather suitcase, it was rich and chocolatey, without being too sweet. For savouries, the Orange Marmalade Sandwich was a favourite, light yet sweet and subtly citrusy.
As an extra fun treat, you can even get your sandwiches served to you tableside from Paddington’s giant red hat. The set also comes with your choice of teapot and a non-alcoholic cocktail—no booze with Paddington here! On the whole, the Paddington theme was pretty spot-on, and is sure to delight fans of the character. The high tea items were also well-executed and thoughtfully curated, though we preferred the sweets over the savouries.
