Happy sundae: there’s a new sundae-specialty spot in Singapore, churning out fresh ice cream on tap, ice cream milkshakes, desserts and more. Sundae Royale has just opened at WEAVE, and it’s an intimate French ice cream parlour helmed by renowned French Chef Paul Pairet.
The space itself is moody, with classy retro vibes, and an open kitchen concept where you can watch them create your sundaes and sweet treats. There are 8 different mainstay ice cream and sorbet flavours on tap, all freshly-churned in-house. Prices for individual flavours start from $6 per cup, with flavours like Caramel Butter Soy, Lemon Curd, Raspberry Sorbet, Chocolate and Peanut Butter.
Pistachio & Raspberry Sundae, $10
You can get your icy treats as plain, single flavours, or jazz them up by going for their Simple Sundae, Sundae Liégeois or Sundae Crunch series, which comes with a variety of toppings and sauces. One of the hot favourites is the Pistachio & Raspberry Sundae ($10), featuring rich and nutty pistachio ice cream swirled with tart raspberry coulis and roasted Iranian pistachios. Their Caramel & Caramel Sundae ($12) is also one of our top picks, with a well-balanced flavour profile of sweet caramel and salty soy, topped with crunchy popcorn and homemade honeycomb biscuits.

If you prefer more refreshing flavours, their Lemon Tart Sundae ($12) is a great option, layered with fresh lemon, orange and grapefruit segments. Be warned though: this one’s pretty sour, but not as sour as the Raspberry Sorbet ($8) flavour. Across the board, their ice cream and sorbets are ultra velvety smooth and creamy, and we liked how they held up pretty well even in our tropical heat, and we could enjoy each one slowly without them melting too quickly.

The Good Churros, $6
Their Cheesecake French Toast ($14) is also worth a try: the toast itself is eggy, moist and soft in texture, and is not overly sweet. But The Good Churros ($6) are not to be missed: with each serving of churros freshly piped and fried to-order, so you get to enjoy them hot; dipped in a side of bittersweet hot chocolate. You can also get a variety of ice cream milkshakes and other pastries from the menu. Sundae Royale has both indoor and outdoor seating available for dine-ins.
