You may have heard the news: the highly-anticipated TANGS Basement at Orchard’s Tang Plaza has finally reopened after a huge overhaul. The massive 30,000 sqft space is now bigger than ever, with tons of brand new and cult-favourite F&B brands to explore, and even an all-new hawker street featuring Michelin-awarded brands.

The basement area now features over 40 store-in-store tenants: from full-fledged dine-in spaces, grab-and-go kiosks and artisanal food retail stores. The variety of tenants here is also much improved, including fan-favourite homegrown brands to international fare and new names to the F&B scene.

There are over 35 curated brands to explore, including the likes of Plain Vanilla, Momolato, Origin Tea, Tous les Jours Café, Percolate, Wanting Kimchi, Ovals Pizza, Ya Kun Kaya Toast, Khao, Gong Yuan Ma La Tang, Andy’s Pie, Lao Ma Ban Mian, Karēkami, Wine Connection, Ramen King, Rotiboy and much more.

One of the highlights of the revamp has got to be the new Hawker Street, featuring your favourite hawkers and even 6 Michelin-recognised hawker brands all under one roof. Some hawker highlights include Tai Wah Pork Noodle, Tai Seng Fish Soup, Fei Fei Roasted Noodle, Hup Hong Chicken Rice, Springleaf Prata, Loong Kee Yong Tau Foo and Hill Street Hainanese Curry Rice among others.

While there’s a couple more tenants still pending their opening soon, the TANGS Basement is already looking much more vibrant. Compared to the food options offered previously, there’s definitely much more variety to choose from.
