2. To the Forest of Verbs with “MUJI IS” Exhibition

Held in celebration of the “MUJI IS” book, the MUJI exhibition is a super aesthetic and minimalist set up, done in true MUJI fashion with their classic brown recycled paper aesthetic.  

The exhibition is modelled after a “forest”, where visitors can walk through and explore the 15 different verbs included in the “MUJI IS” book. Visitors will also be able to learn about MUJI’s design ethos and product archives through this forest-like experience.

3. Aperol Spritz Bar Crawl

For the first 2 weeks of July, Aperol is having self-guided bar crawls all around Singapore, across 20 venues in the Bayfront, Chinatown, East Coast and Riverwalk area. Each ticket includes 5 glasses of Aperol Spritz, and you can choose to redeem them at any of the participating bars within a district or all at one go.

4. Eye of the Storm Exhibition

This is an eclectic solo exhibition held by Filipino artist BITTO, presenting a series of vibrant and colourful, thought-provoking artworks that are intense yet satirical at the same time.

The exhibition features art that speaks to the problematic and dark side of social media: the misinformation, disinformation, shaky truths and falsehoods it spreads within the political climate of Philippines.

5. The Local Farm Weekend

Get fresh, local-grown, farm-to-table goods at Singapore’s very own farmer’s market! Drop by The Local Farm to support local and purchase goods from small businesses.

Expect goods and fresh produce like seafood, edible plants, snacks, kimchi, vegetables, milk and more. The Local Farm Weekend will be happening every first weekend of each month, with July’s market happening on the 2nd and 3rd of July 2022.

6. Hope From Chaos: Pandemic Reflections Exhibition

This exhibition is an ode to the 2nd year since the Covid-19 virus arrived on our shores, and is a reflection of our lives during the global pandemic. 

The artworks featured in the exhibition are meant to be evocative and meditative, allowing visitors to truly reflect and ponder on their personal encounters and experiences during the pandemic; as well as to provide some hope amidst the chaos.

7. Hendrick’s Sunset Cinema

Hendrick’s Sunset Cinema is back at Sentosa’s Tanjong Beach, with screenings of 11 acclaimed films; so you can kick back and enjoy an outdoor movie on the beach that even comes with a free cocktail!

8. Superfluous Things: Paper Exhibition

This is an interactive exhibition at Singapore Art Museum all about—you guessed it—paper! The exhibition not only highlights the important role of paper in our everyday lives, but also evokes thoughts about the relevance of paper in our future. 

Visitors to the exhibition will get to experience various renditions and interpretations of paper: activating all their senses to engage closely with the medium of paper, with materiality and more.

9. Hydrangea Holidays

Experience a slice of the Netherlands right here in Singapore with the new Hydrangea Holidays at Gardens by the Bay! This is the first-ever hydrangea display in Singapore, with over 20 varieties of colourful blooms for all your photo-worthy moments.

The display will also include various traditional elements and installations like windmills, canals, townhouses and a lighthouse, all reminiscent of those found in the Netherlands.

10. For The Time Being Exhibition

Presented by Cuteri Gallery, this solo exhibition features works by Vanessa Liem as she presents reflections of herself in various alien-like humanoid figures in places of desolation. 

Inspired by her own personal life, the works included in the exhibition are highly figurative and surrealistic, shedding light on the oppressive weight of existence through captivating and vivid visuals.

11. Movies in the Sky

Powered by Cinewav, Marina Bay Sands is hosting scenic rooftop movie screenings as part of their Movies in the Sky event! This is an outdoor silent cinema, held at Marina Bay Sands’ SkyPark Observation Deck where you’ll need to bring your own headphones to enjoy the movie.

Tickets cost $48 per person and also includes entry to the SkyPark Observation Deck. Movies screened include the likes of Free Guy, Little Women, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and more. You can book your tickets here

12. Off/On: Everyday Technology that Changed our Lives, 1970s-2000s

This new immersive showcase explores how everyday technology has changed and shaped our daily lives from the 1970s to 2000s. Here you’ll find familiar settings like home, work and other social spaces filled with nostalgic items like typewriters, payphones, pagers, technicolour television sets and more.
