Go back in time to a simpler life at Pulau Ubin, the last village or “kampong” in Singapore. A visit here is like being in a time warp back in the 1960s when things were much simpler, as you’ll notice from the old wooden houses. Located off Singapore’s northeast coast, the best way to get here is to take a bumboat from Changi Point Ferry Terminal. For a laid back break from the hustle and bustle of the city, visit the Ubin Celestial Beach Resort nestled at the Southern part of Pulau Ubin Island. Hire a van or rent a bicycle for a short ride through the woods to get to the resort, which offers plenty of outdoor activities and water sports.
