Frequent JB-goers already know the drill of crossing the border to shop for groceries. But did you know there’s a place in JB where you can shop for groceries at even cheaper wholesale prices? And no, we’re not talking about usual supermarkets like Giant or Lotus’s—this underrated spot is apparently where the locals really shop for essentials.

This “hidden” spot is NSK Trade City, a massive hypermarket where you can shop anything from fresh produce, pantry goods, seafood, frozen foods and more; all at much more affordable wholesale prices that’s said to be “3x cheaper” than usual JB supermarkets. While we’ve yet to verify for ourselves if this is true for most of the items in-store, online reviews from customers show that you definitely get the best savings here when you buy items in larger quantities, or even in bulk.

From what we’ve seen online, prices for items here can start from about RM1 (~$0.30 SGD) or even lower. Some items and prices you can expect include:
