Here’s a new dreamy high tea affair in town: Sofitel Singapore City Centre’s 1864 Bar will be launching another themed afternoon tea set, and this time it’s inspired by the beloved tale of The Little Prince.

The Le Petit Prince Afternoon Tea features theatrical and eye-catching elements: like treats served in a “storybook”, flaming cocktails, and rose-shamed treats. The high tea set comes with a selection of handcrafted sweets and savouries inspired by The Little Prince book. Some of the items are reminiscent of characters from the book, including fox-shaped cookies, star-shaped monaka, edible “rose” mousse cake, crescent moon-inspired tarts and also macarons imprinted with the iconic Little Prince himself.
Some of our favourite items from the high tea include the rose-shaped Raspberry & Rose Mousseline, which came in a “smoking” glass orb for that ultra-whimsical effect. Other playful treats we enjoyed include the Lime & Lemongrass Lollipop that’s topped with a miniature blue star and the Chocolate Sablé which had a Thai tea-infused fox character topping.
The afternoon tea set already comes with your choice of TWG tea or artisanal coffee, but if you want to elevate your experience, you can also get their themed cocktail or mocktail. Their Star Gazer ($20++) cocktail is especially enchanting, as it comes with a “magic” flash paper garnish that reveals a miniature rose once lit—you’ll want to have your cameras on standby for this one.
