Yogurt lovers, here’s a new “sticky” yogurt spot in Singapore where you can DIY your yogurt however you want, plus pule on unlimited toppings too! The popular Yogurt Planet chain has finally opened their first-ever outlet in Singapore, and they’re known for their DIY yogurt bowls that you can customise with self-serve fruits and toppings.

@shout.sg VIRAL DIY STICKY YOGURT WITH UNLIMITED TOPPINGS! The popular Yogurt Planet chain has just opened its first outlet in Singapore, with DIY yogurt bowls from $6.60, including unlimited fruits and toppings! Yogurt Planet Address: 9 Raffles Boulevard, Millenia Walk, 01-105
Start by picking your bowl size: Small ($6.60), Medium ($8.90) or Large ($10.80). This price is all-inclusive, with fruits, yogurt and toppings all included in one price. Scoop as many (or as little) fruits as you want for the base, then hand your bowl to the staff to scoop your choice of yogurt. Currently there are 5 yogurt flavours available: Original, Emerald, Strawberry, Black Five Grains and Sea Coconut. The yogurt comes in various unique colours like black, pastel blue, green and pink.

After you’ve gotten as much yogurt as you want in your bowl, head to the next self-serve bar to start scooping on your unlimited toppings. There are over 15 different toppings here: like popping boba, jelly, oats, cookies, granola, dried fruits and more. There’s literally no limit to how many toppings you can have on your bowl, so scoop to your heart’s content—as long as everything fits in your bowl without spilling or overflowing.

Out of all the yogurt flavours, our favourite has got to be the Black Five Grains, which has a slight nutty flavour. If you like fruitier yogurt flavours, the Emerald (green apple) or Strawberry flavours might be up your alley. Coconut lovers can go for the blue-hued Sea Coconut flavour, which has a pretty strong dried coconut taste to it. But not to worry if you can’t decide on your flavour: they provide mini sample cups so you can try out the flavours before deciding. You can even mix & match the yogurt flavours if you want, though be warned that the flavours might be diluted or altered if you do so.

Taste-wise, we liked how the yogurt is not overly sour or sweet, and is balanced with a subtle tart flavour that’s creamy and rich. The texture of the yogurt is also more fluid, though it’s definitely still thick and scoopable. These yogurt bowls are also pretty filling, especially with all the toppings, so you can definitely have them as a healthy meal or as a dessert.

If you’re wondering what makes the yogurt “sticky”, it’s actually due to the natural fermentation process, as each tub is fermented for at least 24 to 28 hours, which gives it that signature thick and “stretchy” texture. All the yogurt is made fresh in-house, and there are no extra additives like cornstarch added to make it “sticky”. You can take the yogurt tubs home but they’re best enjoyed within the day, or kept in the fridge for up to 2-3 days for maximum freshness.

Yogurt Planet currently has over 300 outlets in China, Malaysia and Australia; and this is their first-ever branch in Singapore. This is also probably the first-ever DIY yogurt concept with unlimited self-serve toppings in Singapore. Aside from their DIY yogurt bowls, they will soon be launching yogurt-infused milkshakes and even salads too.
