Looking for some halal sandos? Hit up this new Muslim-owned sando joint with New York-style hearty and chunky meat sandwiches! Deli by The Meatery is a collaboration between gourmet butchery The Meatery and popular café Penny University, specialising in a line-up of sourdough sandwiches and coffee.

The sandos and other brunch items are only available for breakfast till late lunch, so make sure to come down early if you want to snag the goods! Take a pause at this new pet-friendly coffee and brunch spot in Kovan! On Pause is a cosy Scandinavian-inspired space with specialty coffee, bakes, brunch mains, ice cream and more; plus their outdoor area is pet-friendly too!

Popular coffee chain, Alchemist Coffee, has opened yet another outlet in the CBD, this time at the Ocean Financial Centre! This newest outlet will mark the specialty coffee house’s 9th outlet in Singapore, with 2 other outlets in other parts of the CBD.

The Ocean Financial Centre outlet has the same modern and minimalist vibe as the other Alchemist branches, with a soothing ocean theme of blues and pastel beige-pink hues. This is also a takeaway-only joint offering just coffee and tea, no bakes. Coffee brews street from $3.50 a cup, with classic options like Black, White, Mocha, Pourovers and more.

4. Bullock Cart Coffee

Here’s a cosy and compact coffee spot hidden in Chinatown to spend a quiet afternoon with a good cup of joe and fresh pastries. The café’s name, Bullock Cart Coffee is also a nod to the traditional ox carts that were used in Chinatown in the olden days.

The café has a warm wood-themed interior and seating within the café itself is pretty limited, with only a couple of indoor and outdoor benches and bar tables. Say hello to the latest halal concept by The Royals located along Beach Road in Bugis! The café is housed in a cosy glasshouse-esque space, with fusion brunch items and specialty mocktails. Summer Folks is not just a brunch café, they transform into a casual steakhouse at night, so you get to enjoy all-day dining every day of the week.

Singapore’s first bun specialty concept store is back, and they’ve just opened a little hole-in-the-wall joint at Telok Ayer, offering gourmet baos of various unique flavours. The café is mostly a takeaway spot, but they do have a couple of tables available for dine-in customers too.

All baos are freshly made in house, and stuffed full of ingredients. Pick from bao variations like Chilli Crab, Salted Egg Chicken, Belly of Pork, Blackened Chicken, Truffle Mushroom and more, starting from under $4 each. They also have a special $12 combo set that includes a bao, a noodle and a side of vegetables chips.

Head to this new trendy industrial-themed café before they’re fully booked for some elevated yet familiar local fare! Fullybooked’s chic vibe is reminiscent of the cafés you might see in Korea, with a raw, rustic interior complete with a spiral staircase, textured and exposed walls and silver furniture.

Opened by the same folks behind popular café chain Bearded Bella is Good Egg, located in the bustling CBD. Like its sister café, Good Egg is also inspired by the Melbourne coffee and café scene, with an adorable baby blue theme and marbled furniture.
