1. Mixology Salon

Hailing from Ginza, Tokyo is Mixology Salon, an award-winning cocktail bar specialising in “tea-tails”, or tea-centric cocktails. Located at InterContinental at Robertson Quay, this is the bar’s first overseas outlet, and they’ve even teamed up with dessert genius Janice Wong to offer various dessert pairings for their drinks.

You can look forward to the incorporation of various Japanese teas, like matcha, gyukuro, hojicha, oolong and sencha. Highlights from their tea-infused menu include Sencha Shiso Smash ($24), Roasted Rum Manhattan ($29), Green Tea Fashioned ($26), Genmai Negroni ($27) and more. You can also opt for a curated Cocktail Course (from $65) featuring 3-5 different cocktails in all.

2. PLUME

Bird-themed cocktails anyone? Tucked within the Pan Pacific Singapore hotel is PLUME, an exquisite and sophisticated watering hole that’s perfect for an elegant end to the night. The space boasts subtle tropical vibes, with rich hues of red and emerald, as well as bird and foliage prints accenting the space.

Inspired by the colourful birds around Singapore, you can expect an exotic and exuberant cocktail menu, along with bird-themed savoury eats too. 3. The Beer People Co.

If your drink of choice is a cool pint of beer, The Beer People Co. is the place for you. Housing over 150 different Asian beers, you’ll definitely be spoilt for choice as you take your pick from the display chillers. You’ll find unique craft beers from various microbreweries, including Brewlander, Niang Brewery Co., Red Dot Brewhouse, Trouble Brewing and plenty more.

The industrial-inspired space has a supermarket-esque layout, where you can literally “shop” beers from the fridge, picking whichever you want directly into your basket. To pair with your booze, you have old-school snacks, as well as Thai fare from @nummunthaikitchen that you can enjoy in their dine-in space.

4. Wiped Out the Bar

You might be familiar with the name Wiped Out, a popular rooftop hangout spot located at Beauty World Centre. With the success of their first outlet, they’ve opened a second branch, this time with a stylish and vibey industrial-chic space, complete with live music playing on Fridays and Saturdays.

True to their branding, Wiped Out’s second outlet keeps prices affordable: with cocktails from $13, beers from $6, spirits from $9 and highballs at $9, among others. For cocktails, we have the likes of Wiped Out Special ($16), Cherry Crush ($14), White Sangria ($15) and more. There’s also a selection of mains and bar bites if you’re feeling peckish.

5. Jungle Ballroom

Swing by the Jungle Ballroom at the newly-opened Mondrian Singapore Duxton, a swanky contemporary cocktail bar inspired by the sights and sounds of exotic Asian jungle. Finding the entrance to the bar is like walking through the jungle itself, as you enter the lush greenery-filled canopy.

As far as themed bars go, The Wizard’s Brew might be one of the best we’ve seen in Singapore so far. With a meticulously decorated Harry Potter theme and theatrical cocktails to boot, this bar is guaranteed to be a fun time for fans of the series.

Look forward to an enchanting and mystical decor, from antique artifacts, flying books and cobwebs—every inch of the space is good for the ‘gram.
