Talk about dining with a view: Ku-Kai Izakaya is a hidden joint located at the SAF Yacht Club with stunning waterfront views and affordable Japanese fare! While the location is a little ulu, it’s worth it for the amazing sunset views.
The izakaya gives off a very idyllic vibe, with alfresco dining, Japanese red lanterns and even a torii gate—perfect for all your IG-worthy moments pretending you’re holidaying in some remote Japanese fishing village. They also have a super affordable Kushiyaki Omakase, where you get an assortment of 5 or 7 skewers for $19 or $26 respectively. Expect skewers like tsukune, negima, shiitake, chicken skin and more.
If you’re not looking for skewers, they also offer hearty Japanese fare like Chicken Katsu Curry ($16), Garlic Butter Fried Rice ($18), Grilled Squid ($30), Aburi Shimesaba ($15), Kani Tama Gratin ($11) and more! Come around the evening and watch the sunset as you dine! As seats are limited, you’re encouraged to make reservations by calling 8304 3028 before heading down to avoid disappointment.
