The wait is almost over: the highly-anticipated 2nd Street vintage store from Japan is opening in Singapore very soon, and here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect from the opening!

ICYMI, 2nd Street is one of the biggest preloved chains in Japan, with over 1000 stores globally. The Singapore opening is located at the heart of town at 313@Somerset, and marks the brand’s first-ever outlet here. Thrift fiends can expect to find over 23,000 items displayed in-store, with items starting from as low as just $5 each.

The layout of the store is easy enough to navigate: with dedicated sections for both women’s and men’s items. The displayed items are also clearly split into their respective categories, sub-sections and colour coded too: clothes, bags, accessories and shoes. There’s even a special area just for luxury and designer items that are arranged in clear glass displays.

2nd Street is best known for their designer selections, and the Singapore outlet is no different, offering a pretty good variety of luxury bags, wallets, accessories, watches and jewellery. Luxury brands available in-store include the likes of Hermès, Chloé, Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Fendi, Miu Miu, YSL, Prada, Loewe and many more

Surprisingly, the luxury items are very well-priced too, with some items even starting as low as under $100, with plenty of bag options sitting around the $160 to $250 range—and in good condition too. They’ve even got vintage watches starting from $70, from brands like YSL, Gucci, Hermès, Gucci, Longines, Christian Dior and more.

Here are some of the luxury items we spotted and their prices:
Fendi Sunglasses – $50
YSL Watch – from $70
Gucci Watch – $120
Christian Dior Canvas Shoulder Bag -$140
Louis Vuitton Damier Azur Passport Cover – $160
Loewe Anagram Boston Bag – $220
Prada Sunglasses – $260
Louis Vuitton Monogram Mini Bag – $260
Gucci GG Supreme Wolf Wallet – $280
Gucci GG Canvas Handbag – $450
Hermès Watch – $600
Chanel Leather Wallet – $1150
Louis Vuitton Multicoloured Pochette – $1200

Aside from luxury names, they’ve also got a plethora of other popular brands: from athleisure, streetwear, indie labels and more. Some other brands you might spot include adidas, Tory Burch, Coach, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Patagonia, The North Face, salomon, New Balance, Nike, Acne Studios, Stussy, Marni, Air Jordans and many more.

Clothes start from as low as under $10, with branded clothes ranging around $30 onwards and branded shoes/sandals starting from under $40 onwards. Fair warning though: the clothing racks are pretty packed with items, so have patience and be prepared to sift through the hangers to find the best steals. There’s also a couple of fitting rooms and mirrors all around for you to try on the items before buying.

Aside from buying, you can also sell your own pre-loved or vintage items here; with no restrictions on the kind or brand of items (as long as they’re in good condition). Currently, all the items you see in-store are imported directly from Japan, but eventually you’ll start to see more items brought in locally from Singapore too; especially once more people start bringing in their pre-loved items to sell too. 2nd Street Singapore opens to the public from 29th April 2025 onwards, and for the first 3 days, you can redeem a free reusable tote bag with a minimum of $50 spent, while stocks last.
