Touted as the Spaghetti from Hell (Level 18), this is one for the spicy food lovers. Finishing the entire plate of spaghetti in 10 minutes would entitle you to either 2 towers of Heineken Draught Beer or a SGD $100 dining voucher at Southwest Tavern. The cowboy-themed restaurant however, warns that the spaghetti is of extreme spiciness and individuals with medical conditions are not allowed to take up the challenge.

2. The Empire Burger Challenge, Little Diner

Good for 3-4 pax or one very hungry person, the empire burger consists of three thick juicy beef patties, multiple slices of bacon, cheese, fried egg and topped with a whole lot of vegetables. If you do wolf it down in 20 minutes, the meal would be on the house. You’d simply be charged for the burger (SGD $55) if you don’t finish it in the given timeframe, but you can still get a free dessert.

3. The Ultimate Taco Hotness Challenge, Lower East Side Taqueria

Offering a range of tacos, burritos and hearty meats amidst a quirky and vibrant restaurant-bar setting, Lower East Side Taqueria offers five levels of spiciness when you order your food. The Ultimate Taco Hotness Challenge suggests that if you can scarf down three tacos (SGD $18) covered in level five hot sauce within 5 minutes, they are on the house.

Despite numerous renovations over the years, Lau Pa Sat Stall 8 still holds their iconic Satay Challenge. Individuals would be entitled to free satays should he break the record by eating a number of satays within 20 minutes. The current record, set by a local competitive eater, is 150 satay sticks (SGD $0.70 each).

5. McGettigan’s Burger Challenge, McGettigan’s

The latest eating competition to hit Singapore, individuals would have to finish the 2kg burger set within 32 minutes. The burger tower (SGD $65) is made up of 5 burger sets and consists of Wagyu minced beef patties, streaky bacon, yellow onion, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and comes with a side of potato wedges. 6. Superhiro Burger Challenge, Little Hiro

A Hawaiian-Japanese fusion burger and barbecue restaurant, Little Hiro has its own Superhiro Challenge where individuals would have to devour the burger set – consisting of 8 patties (each 200 grams) and 500 grams of fries – within the timeframe set by the previous record holder. The current record is set at 7 minutes for the 1.8kg burger set.

7. The Beast Burger Challenge, The Beast

Crowned the ‘mother of all burgers’, the 3kg beast burger consists of juicy beef patty, slow cooked pulled pork, fried chicken, coleslaw, lettuce and tomatoes all wedged between a custom made 9-inches bun and served with a bucket of fries. The whopping burger costs SGD $125 and would adequately feed four adults, or one heavy eater.

8. Triple Chili Challenge, MEATliquor SIN

Available in both MEATliquor’s UK and Singapore outlets, the Triple Chili Challenge requires the participant to consume one chili dog, one green chilli burger as well as chili cheese fries within 10 minutes. The 1.6kg set costs SGD $50, which participants will have to pay for if they do not complete the challenge. The top ten records are within 4 minutes 29 seconds to 7 minutes and 1 second currently.

Possibly one of the most popular food challenge in Singapore, the Terminator Challenge consists of a towering 1kg burger made up of six beef patties, bacon, caramelised onions and drizzled with a generous amount of cheese, the set is completed with coleslaw and a large serving of fries. Participants who finish the burger (SGD $68) within 20 minutes can have it on the house and at the same time, have their names displayed on the wall of fame.
