Singapore already hosts the F1 races every year, but could you imagine having another F1 race in the region, and in JB, no less? Well, this fantasy might actually become a reality soon, as Malaysia is now building a massive racing circuit aimed at being the next key motorsport destination for professionals.

Dubbed the Sunway Circuit Iskandar Puteri, this upcoming mega racetrack is located near the Second Link to Singapore, and about 30 minutes away from the checkpoint. The motorsport venue is expected to become one of Southeast Asia’s most advanced racing facilities, with a world-class design by globally renowned circuit architect, Hermann Tilke, who has designed several Formula 1 venues around the world.

The main circuit stretches 4.5 kilometres; and aside from the main racetrack, the venue will also feature other additional motorsport and driving facilities, including:
- 1.5 kilometre professional karting circuit
- Hill climbing course
- Dedicated 4×4 off-roading area
- Advanced driving park for training and high-performing driving activities
- International-grade paddocks, pit buildings, hospitality suites, media centres & garages
Currently, the main track has already been paved, and full completion is slated to for the end of 2025.
