Princess Cruises also boasts one of the world’s largest Japanese-style bathhouse experiences, so you can enjoy a luxurious and relaxing “floating” spa experience at sea. Their iconic Izumi Japanese Bath is the largest of its kind at sea; and we especially loved how it overlooks the sea, offering stunning ocean views that were the perfect backdrop for our photo ops. Other spa activities we tried included the likes of indoor stone baths, ocean-view saunas and even an adults-only private lounge at the top deck.

Other noteworthy wellness options available onboard include a state-of-the-art fitness centre, pilates classes, yoga sessions, and even low-impact indoor cycling. There’s plenty to watch and see as well, with various entertainment like Broadway-worthy musical numbers, theatre productions, dance performances and more.
3. Fine dining-quality meals that are cooked to order
One thing we always look forward to onboard a cruise is their food; and we’ve got to say—Princess Cruises really takes their food to the next level. Here, you’ll get to savour food made by award-winning chefs, and it actually shows. Unlike other cruises that tend to serve food that’s pre-prepared or left out on display buffet-style, the food onboard Princess is “Made-from-Scratch”, which means that each dish is cooked to order, so you’re served restaurant-quality food, always.
We especially appreciated the wide variety of food options available, with different menu items daily, so you can feast on something new each day. They’ve even got some interactive dining experiences: like DIY poke bowls and a self-serve ramen bar—something we’ve never seen on other cruises. There were also multiple live meat carving stations; and yes, all this was available at the common dining areas, not just from speciality restaurants! There’s plenty of food options to choose from onboard, so you won’t have to deal with all the fuss or stress of finding a seat during peak mealtimes—unlike other cruises where you’re always having to fight for a table just to dine.
4. VIP “Princess” treatment for everyone
The staff onboard Princess Cruises also took hospitality and service to a whole new level, truly elevating our experience and making our journey unforgettable. They’ve got a 1:3 crew-to-guest ratio, and they make sure every guest gets personalised, luxurious attention—from remembering our favourite drink orders made through our Medallion® devices, and even noting our favourite onboard activities.
