NEW CAVE-INSPIRED KOREAN RESTAURANT HAS VIRAL DEEP-FRIED CHILLI PEPPERS, KING-SIZED PORK RIBS, KBBQ & MORE!

There’s a new cave-inspired Korean restaurant in Singapore that’s cheekily called GOCHU, and it’s located within a golf country club!

GOCHU is located within Orchid Country Club, and it’s got a unique and aesthetic cave-esque vibe: with raw natural stone walls, and floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the lush greenery outside. The restaurant not only offers a la carte dishes, but a Korean BBQ menu as well. GOCHU is brought to you by the same folks behind other cult-favourite Korean concepts in Singapore, like DRIM and MODU.

If you know some Korean, you might be aware that “gochu” can mean one of 2 things: chilli peppers or a certain naughty male body part (IYKYK). But you can get your head out of the gutter, as this new restaurant has nothing to do with the male anatomy, and actually specialises in Korean deep-fried chilli peppers stuffed with pork, tofu and vegetables: a viral street food item that’s popular in many Korean traditional markets and restaurants. Some highlights from the menu include signature dishes like Deep Fried Chili Peppers ($12), Black Soy Cold Noodle ($22), Suyuk Ramyeon ($14), Pork Ribs BBQ, Braised Pork Backbone Set ($30) and more.
