Keep your eyes on the sky this November: the Beaver Moon and Taurids Meteor Shower will be visible from Singapore, and you’ll be able to spot them with the naked eye!

The Beaver Moon is the second closest supermoon at around 356,000 kilometres from Earth at its nearest point, and the second of three consecutive supermoons we’ll be experiencing this 2025. This particular supermoon will reach peak illumination on 5th November 2025 after 7.30pm. There’s no special viewing equipment needed to catch the Beaver Moon, and it’ll be visible anywhere from Singapore as long as skies remain clear. For the best viewing spots in Singapore, we recommend elevated vantage points like Marina Barrage, East Coast Park and the Southern Ridges.

The Taurids Meteor Shower is active from now till 10th December 2025, with the Southern Taurids expected to peak on 5th November at 9pm, and Northern Taurids on 9th November at 8pm. The best viewing time for the meteor shower in Singapore is between 12am to 4am, which will appear across the entire sky, with around 10 meteors per hour, including the occasional fireball. There’s no equipment needed to see these meteor showers either, but it’s best if you find a dark open sky away from city lights for the best views; like parks, beaches or reservoirs.
