An amusement park with “powerless rides”? There’s a new colourful, duck-themed amusement park pop-up in JB with unique rides—all the rides don’t use electricity! Joyful Dreamland is a one-of-a-kind amusement park that has just popped up at Sutera Mall, just ~20 minutes away from the checkpoint, and it’s the first “no-electricity” amusement park in JB.

Since all the rides don’t run on electricity, most of them require “human generators” (that’s you) to actually work, you don’t just ride them—you’re the engine. Rides like the solo rollercoaster, ferris wheel and carousel are fitted with bicycles; you have to ride and pedal them to get the ride to move, and the faster you pedal, the faster your ride goes. Think theme park meets gym session—you’ll definitely be getting a good workout here. The park also features some good ol’ theme park fun that lets you get physical: like multiple rainbow slides, inflatable bouncy castle, suspension bridge, donut tire gliding and more.

The space is also decked out in vibrant colours, with lots of duck-themed elements and rainbow fixtures to snap photos with. Entry to this Joyful Dreamland amusement park starts from RM38 per person (~$12 SGD per person) for unlimited play for one day. The amusement park pop-up will be at Sutera Mall’s Sutera Square, and it’ll be open from now till December 2026.
