Total Lunar Eclipse on 3rd March 2026: Best Free Viewing Spots in Singapore!

Ready your cameras and telescopes: a rare Total Lunar Eclipse will be visible in Singapore this March 2026! The total lunar eclipse can be seen with the naked eye, preferably in a dark location, and no additional viewing equipment is required. This upcoming lunar event will mark the final viewable total lunar eclipse worldwide, until the next one occurs in December 2028.

If you would like to get a better viewing experience of the eclipse, the Science Centre Singapore will be hosting live viewing sessions for free. The viewing sessions will be accompanied by on-site commentary by Science Educators, and you also have the option to upgrade your experience with telescope viewing (+$4). Free tickets to the live viewing will be available to book from 20th February 2026, with limited slots available here.

The Total Lunar Eclipse will be visible in Singapore on 3rd March 2026 from 7.47pm onwards to about 9.17pm. Don’t worry if you didn’t manage to catch the live viewing, the whole event will also be livestreamed online.
