A new theatrical dining concept is soon to make its way onto Singapore shores, and it’s none other than the famed international steakhouse chain, Benihana! Benihana will soon be opening in Singapore at Millenia Walk this July 2023. Benihana’s patronage includes celebrity names like Taylor Swift, The Beatles, Selena Gomez, Halle Berry and Muhammad Ali, among others.

If you’re not familiar with Benihana, here’s a brief introduction: the Japanese chain is highly popular in the US for its “theatrical teppanyaki”, entertaining diners with a meal and a show. Witness Benihana’s boisterous chefs perform some of their signature theatrics: tossing bowls of rice, shaping fried rice into giant “beating” hearts, constructing onion “volcanoes” (onion rings stacked and set aflame), juggling eggs and more!
While we don’t know what’ll be on the Singapore menu as of yet, Benihana’s regular menu consists of your usual teppanyaki suspects like various cuts of steak, seafood like shrimps, scallops and lobster, fried rice and more. They also offer a wide range of assorted sushi and sashimi, though we expect you might want to skip on those and go straight for the teppanyaki items for the most authentic Benihana experience.
