When travelling to Japan, many usually think of visiting familiar “touristy” areas like Tokyo, Osaka or Kyoto—but Japan has so much more to offer other than these. With this new campaign by JAPAN by Japan (JbyJ), you’ll get to explore the lesser known (but no less beautiful) parts of Japan—all completely for free!
Yes, that’s right: you can win an all-expenses-paid trip around Japan’s hidden gems, with authentic tours delivered by local experts. All parts of the trip will be fully sponsored: from the air tickets, accommodation, transport and even food and beverages, so you won’t have to fret about a thing.
There will be 2 free tours up for contest in 2023:
1. Hokkaido (for a family of up to 4)
From 3rd to 8th September 2023, head to the idyllic northern island and enjoy the lush natural beauties the paradise has to offer. Participants will explore highly recommended spots like Kushiro, Furano, Sapporo and Chitose.
2. Hiroshima & San’in (for a couple of 2)
In November 2023, there will be a tour to the historic valleys of Hiroshima and San’in (includes Shimane and Tottori) where a lucky duo can enjoy romantic activities like custom ring-making workshops and admiring the scenic and picturesque Seto Inland Sea.
How do you win one of these trips? The free Japan tour giveaway is open to all those residing in Singapore, and each group must have at least one Singaporean Citizen. Note that in order to qualify, all participants and their companion(s) must consent to have their photos and videos taken during the trip to be used for promotional content (social media, advertisements, etc.).
The application period is currently ongoing from now till 18th June 2023. Here’s how you can apply for the tour(s):
- Register as a JbyJ member here.
- Create your own 3-minute video (in English) detailing why you should win the trip; why you believe Japan is the best destination to celebrate your loved one(s) and what you would like to do on the trip.
- Fill in the application form for your chosen destination: Hokkaido or Hiroshima & San’in.
- Shortlisted participants will be contacted by campaign@japanbyjapan.com for an online or in-person interview.
