Remember the viral quirky dick-themed exhibition a couple of months back? If you enjoy that sort of satirical, naughty artwork, you’ll definitely want to check out the latest exhibition, WOOD MORNING SINGAPORE, held at BLAXK by ActionCity at Funan!
If the phrase “WOOD MORNING” reminds you of a certain sexual phenomenon—ahem, morning wood—you’re absolutely spot on. The cheeky exhibition features creations by renowned Paris-based art toy designer, Juce Gace, who’s known for creating familiar childhood-inspired toys with a naughty twist. In this case, all the characters in the WOOD MORNING exhibition are sporting a very visible boner.
Suffice to say, this exhibition is not one for the kids, and you won’t be able to view your favourite childhood characters in the same light again…The exhibition features various art prints, figurines, large-scale sculptures, toys, apparel and merchandise. Figurines are also available for purchases starting from $210. Characters you’ll see are inspired by several iconic childhood and movie figures, that you’ll find super familiar—all of them with a hard-on or making uber suggestive gestures.
Juce Gace has also collaborated with Singaporean artist Tanavit23 to create a new character: JEM (AWAKENING EDITION), a mash-up of both artists’ signature styles. WOOD MORNING SINGAPORE is a free exhibition that’s open to the public till 22nd October 2023.
