INSIDE7
All the dishes in their menus are named after a particular Care Bear and the first dish we tried was The Seafood Chowder you’ll Love-A-Lot ($28.90). A generous serving of Japanese beetroot rice served with fresh seafood chowder stew. Shirley Wong also known as @littlemissbento, the co-creator and food artist in charge of curating the Care Bear menu, mentioned this was one of her favourite dishes due to the intricacy of shaping and imprinting the Care Bear features onto the pink hued rice. As a bonus, with each Seafood Chowder purchased you’ll get to take home your own Love-A-Lot plush worth $14.90!

The next dish we tried was the Kumoya Star Attraction ($18.90), a Pomodoro pasta surrounded by perfectly cooked beef meatballs, mixed together with shiitake mushrooms, cherry tomato confit and parmesan cheese stars. Complete with its own little Care Bear decor hanging on a rainbow, it is a dish sure to put a smile on your face. The cafe also offers an alternative to the beef meatballs for those who want a vegetarian option.

And what’s a main course without its side dishes? We ordered the Truffle fries ($11.90) and the Chicken And Corn Sticks With Nacho Cheese ($12.90). Their truffles fries are made with premium truffle oil and tossed with parmesan cheese. Their Chicken And Corn Sticks is a perfect combination of chicken nuggets and corn resulting surprising veggie crunch with every bite. It also comes with a yummy combo of Nacho Cheese. Each dish came served in a limited-edition Care Bear snack holder.

For desserts, we got a taste their Rainbow Garden Strawberry Parfait ($18.90), a light and refreshing strawberry Hokkaido soft serve that comes with a creamy vanilla pudding. And it wouldn’t be called a garden without its cookie crumble path, and an assortment of sweet treats like fresh fruit, candies and meringues.

INSIDE5And if you are feeling down, try Grumpy Bear’s comforting Feeling Blue Berries Cake Jar ($12.90), a layered mixed berry cake that is topped with a generous helping of soft serve ice cream, meringue drops and adorable Grumpy Bear butter cookie. This will have you feeling perked up in no time.

And Shout’s team favourite dish has got to be the Cheer-Up Chicken Katsu ($21.90), a juicy Japanese style Katsu Chicken burger marinated in teriyaki sauce, with its crispy exterior and tender inside.
